Why is the site of grace so far away from Renalla!!!!!

It's not too bad once you clear the boulders coming down that ramp just after discount Sifs room. Can get there without a single enemy getting aggro

It somehow took more attempts to get to the second phase then to beat it, I cleared the second phase 2nd attempt by using her own tricks against her.

It’s probably not that long, but when you are on attempt 10 it feels like half the map.

Those first couple of one shot attacks are what’s getting me, I’ve had her down to one or two hits left but died.

I’ll get her, just needed to calm down haha!

Her first phase drove me nuts in the beginning as I could never find the person throwing the books (just my luck it was the person furtherest away). The second phase can be very tricky!!

Take heart in that when you return in NG+ 2/3/4 she'll be easier due to you being stronger.

Some of the site of grace locations in the game are a bit odd. There's an area in Caelid with three in the space of a minute, then there's some areas where it feels like you'll never see one before dying.

For the boss fights I probably found Godrick, Malenia and Elden Beast to be the toughest. Though it really comes down to what level you are at the time. If you're a high enough level you can basically stomp anyone.

I’m level 48 so I don’t think I’m underleveled, when I hit her it does good damage. It’s just a matter of hitting her haha!

Think that's about the mark. I was reading that Lvl 50 is recommended to have a reasonable chance. Think I was about 60 when I took her on.

Basic strategy was to run non-stop in the first phase and whack the book throwers as quickly as possible. Getting her out of the bubble three times was enough to deal enough damage to get to the second phase.

Then it was a case of rolling everywhere and throwing incantations when possible. The second phase is the real prick.

Funnily enough I just beat her on NG+ as a bleed build and she went down like a sack of shit in about 20 seconds. Was very satisfying.

If only it were true, hard another go this arvo and still no good. The magic just wrecks me!

I’m gonna go do something different otherwise I’ll end up throwing it in…

Might seem boring, but farm runes and level up a bit more.... maybe change tactics/weapons and have another go ?
It'll seem silly but an extra level or 2 upward could be the difference in success or failure. I didn't think I'd ever beat Margit or Godrick as they seemed too strong, leveled up and boom beat them unexpectedly (by the skin of my teeth but still lol).

I went and found that dragon that gives you a heap of runes. I have some stuff on my to do list that I’ll tick off aswell like activating Godricks great rune, evergaols and that dragon in limgrave .

Sprint sideways on the projectiles, retreat when she does that spinning wand thing. Also if you can roll FORWARD into her body before she casts, you’ll be free to punish her up close and the spell won’t hit. Gotta be aggressive against her.

Maybe that’s it, I’m real tentative so maybe I need to just go at her.

Wife and son are out all day today so I’m gonna have another crack.

Caelid birds and dogs, oh my:eek:

Caelid can be quite the shock after Liurnia. I would tend to just ride past the birds, they're not worth the pain of engaging with.

The dogs look scary but go down pretty easy.

Absolute worst area in the game is the sewers under Leyndell. Not even bothering with it on NG+. Just awful.

Well Caelid is an absolute hell hole…

I wasn’t sure what to do so I figured I’d just head straight to Redmayne Castle. Just want to do what I need to and get the hell out of there haha.

This game has ruined video games for me. I feel like nothing will satiate me ever again - like a person who eats human flesh and can no longer be satisfied with anything else - it all just seems tedious and empty compared to Elden Ring.

How far are you into the game?

Well I caved and brought this. Had heaps of spare time to kill the last few days. Been off work. Hated every Souls game I played.

Can only play this an hour at a time before I get frustrated and quit.

Don't want to use guides heaps but it looks like I'll be doing heaps of YouTube.

I'm guessing levelling up/grinding is a massive part of this game. I have no idea what anything does.

Wish me luck. Might have wasted $99.
