Emergency covering for Drummond - joke!

I lost my eliminator match by one point! If I was beaten fair and square i would cop it sweet and move on. But the emergency rule is stuffed.

Despite him having Drummond onfield, he had Broughton emergency so after Drummond went down injured on 0, Broughton's 68 came in as cover.

What a joke of a glitch, If Drummond gave away one free kick and scored -3 it would still count but just because he didn't get a stat while on the field it doesn't count!? What if he played the whole game and didn't get a touch.

I know you could argue he was unlucky to have Drummond go down but injuries are part and parcel of the game.

Bad luck and you have every right to be pissed but at least VS are consistent across rounds.

Btw I had Drummond and was fortunate enough to have Chad Cornes & Raines covering him

I thought the rule was that if a player starts the match, regardless what he gets it counts.

I noticed that VS grey out the 'no stat zeros' in DT and therefore don't include it in a players' average, but in SC they do include the zero in the players average. T

Therefore my question is how do people reckon VS will factor this into determining a players prices for next year, will they include the zero or not?

Thing that annoys me the most is that on their stats, it doesn't record that they've played the game they scored the zero in, when the quite clearly did.

Rule should be fixed. A game is a game. If your named to have played, you should get your score regardless of stats.

Off topic but no idea wtf happened to hooper but 1 is just not acceptable likewise with Rocca's 0 last year

I think basically everyone came to the conclusion it is a joke when it happened to Harvey and Hille but they aren't going to change this 'glitch' during the year. They've stuck to their system (which is rubbish) and will rightfully stick to it all season to keep it consistent.

There is no way this rule should continue to happen after this year though, any logical person knows that because it makes absolutely no sense. They've played, gone through the banner, taken up a position on the field, in Drummond's case took kick ins so they have had an affect on the game even though they may not had a stat. You shouldn't be able to sub in someone that has touched the footy with someone from the stands just because he unluckily got injured.

I like the rule myself. I think its a bit of luck in an extremely unlucky situation. I understand the different handling in DT compared to SC as it is definite more of a possibility that a player can play an entire game and score a SC 0 then it is a DT 0 (when I say this, I talk of any player that matters not the 22nd man that no one would have in there team).
Don't forget this could hurt a coach as well. Say (god forbid) Muston would have went down with a Knee injury in the first minute of the game and didn't score anything. He would have got a 0 and cost his coaches about 50K as he wouldn't have been credited with the game.

I hope they don't change the rule. We all know it can happen and as I say its a slight bit of good luck in an extremely unlucky situation.

Its the most ridiculous glitch in DT and SC.
The programmers really should hang their heads in shame at this basic programming error.

As to anyone who thinks that this should be retained.
Why not have an arbitratrary number say '2' where we get 50 bonus dream team points?

it is pretty pathetic. so easy to just have a boolean variable havePlayed or something or the equivalent in whatever language they program but i also agree that you cant just fix it half way through the season. but im sure this wouldnt be the first year this has happened so its a bit annoying for someone that it hasnt happened to.

I think it is a great rule, both me and my oppponent had Drummond but I had an emergencey and he didn't.

End result won my match by 14pts.
