I don't think it's a big deal ... just can't believe that people, including yourself are spending all this time and energy, trying to say it wasn't a mistake.
And the missing on Alger argument doesn't hold water ... could have retired KMac a year earlier (or better still closed the Dow file) ... Davidson with his elite running capacity was clearly a wing.
Trainor (back) , Alger (forward) and Tresize (utility) are not wings ... we are just playing them there because we don't have another wing (well we do but Judson Clarke ain't playing anytime soon)
You are getting so desperate now that you are questioning his class and courage ... seriously?
What is dubious is the clubs strategy of building a list with 6 full forwards Armstrong, Faull, Sims, LeFau, Lynch and Fawcett and 7 full backs Balta, Miller, Young, Gibcus, Gray, Blight and Kosi (not to mention Bauer) whilst missing a free swing for outside run and speed leaving us to try and find it in a draft full of VFL standard footballers (the last line is me trolling)
Now that we just delisted three of them? All part of the plan, right?

Pretty accurate ... though Campbell can count as one of the 3 draftees when upgraded to the main list and Kellaway can be added to a rookie spot straight after the ND if not bid on by another team as I understand it.
I donāt think there was anything dubious about our KPP strategy.
Before the draft we had Lynch with a question mark over durability, Kozi who was useless up forward in 2024, Bauer who had only shown glimpses and Fawcett who had missed almost all of 2024. Ryan had also shown he was a liability up forward. Lefau with a mid-year ACL.
Down back we had Balta and Miller fit, Gray and Blight as the unknown new guys. Young with a mid year ACL and Gibcus coming off a serious hamstring injury followed by an ACL.
We may not have even planned to draft Trainor and Armstrong but they fell to picks where we couldnāt pass them up.
The result of our draft hand and 2025 season is that we now have a really promising group of KPPs. This group could see us surge up the ladder in the next couple of years. Iām not sure I could say the same about a player like Davidson.
Agree that we couldāve got Davidson over keeping Dow or McIntosh but I think Davidson would only be a fringe player for us next year. Our younger mids will need to rotate on the wing at times so we can fit them all into the team.
