You know the lotto numbers this week?It would be a lot easier to make a call on Sonsie if the coaching staff had listened to me and given him a few games in the only position he can play and told him to address his weaknesses (attack on the ball, tackling).
We make list management hard, and we end up with list-cloggers, because none of our decisions during the year take into account list development.
I'm OK with it, purely because we're very short on small defenders. Has to be Smith's last chance though.![]()
Gray, Smith and OHB has all re-signed.
Pretty sure that only leaves Sonsie and Dow un-contracted at this point....
Yesis OHB still a cat B?
At least there's a vision, don't mind getting surprised.I’ll defend Dow til the cows come home, but it really seems like we have a clear plan to get rid of the plodders. We want to run, and we want to go fast. Very stiff but I see the vision.
Probably what we get for young and if we split or notSo what would we be waiting for with Sonsie and Dow?
Are their contracts pending on whether we pick anyone up in trade and free agency?
Probably waiting to see how many picks we're going to have in the draft. So what would we be waiting for with Sonsie and Dow?

A year ago watching Kaleb Smith play VFL I thought he was our most likely D Rioli replacement.
But I've gone cold on him this season. Hope we see some real run and carry from him in 2026.
The 12-month contract extension speaks volumes, showing that Richmond isn't tied to an underperforming player (Deliliah says hi).I'm OK with it, purely because we're very short on small defenders. Has to be Smith's last chance though.
12 month is fair. It gives Smith a chance to develop further and prove himselfThe 12-month contract extension speaks volumes, showing that Richmond isn't tied to an underperforming player (Deliliah says hi).
For a month I thought we gave him another contract extension lolEmerging Richmond tall Samson Ryan will remain at Richmond for another three years, with the 206cm forward/ruck putting pen to paper on a new contract with the Club.
The extension will see Ryan tied to Richmond until at least the end of 2027.
