with such a young group going forward, it probably explains why the likes of Miller and Hislop have been added to the list. Being such a physical game, we can't ignore this necessary ingredient...go get'em boysss

If there's a perception that Miller could fulfill an enforcer type role, or crash some bodies in the forward line, then it's a perception that is based upon zero fact. I would have loved Miller to have competed and made a pathway for some of his teammates, but it simply didn't happen. It's a major reason that he was left to rot in at Casey virually all year.

He simply doesn't play that way. I'll never forget when Joel Selwood displayed tremendous courage running the wrong way to take a mark in front of Miller. Miller was running towards the ball and had the opportunity to legally take Selwood out of the contest, but in the end Selwood marked without Miller laying a finger on him, even though he arrived at the same time.

Note: he did have some aggression in his early days, but I haven't seen him physically impose himself on contests for years. And even when he had a problem in his younger days by constantly getting reported, it was more head high contact from late bumps. He never creates a pathway, or bowls players over by being a big forward target in the Jonathan Brown mould. Never.

Wasnt Miller recalled to the demons side but turned the opportunity down because he wanted to be there for his mates at Casey in the finals?

He was offered a fairwell game in round 22, but instead wanted to play in a final for Casey. He has admirable leadership qualities.

That was always the case and it didn't work in the past.........but I do hope your theory is right.

I've seen Newman, Delidio, Graham, Martin, Moore and Tuck all get in for the old push and shove. Obviuosly we all know King loves the knuckle.

I think when it comes to mixing it up, we have a few that stand up. I would not substitute biff for class. You need both whereas Hislop only has biff. Miller i would give a go as he has both.

Hislop has my support for showing Nick Maxwell up for the try hard tough guy that he is. Even funnier when he cried in the media that it was our fault it started despite the fact three Collingwood blokes jumped King which started it all.
