Come on people, look at what we are doing.

This is an AFL site, we are supposed to be tough, strong footy supporters of the best game in the world.

If people from other countries visit this site, they are going to think we are a bunch of softies.

Let's start a topic that shows how tough we are, like ????????????

People you aren't getting in to this, how about what would you rather lose, an arm or a leg.

I'd pick arm, because it is harder to get around on one leg.

LOL, I didn't mean to scare you, just changing the subject.:p

I might be a bit weird, but not that bad.

Just because all of my fav movies are serial killer, thriller movies & Stephen King & Dean Koontz are my fav authors.

Used to like Koontz, but he latest stuffs been terrible. Kings still okay if you can handle the 'excess'. Recent horror guys... im struggling. Still a fan of Clive Barkers stuff.

Sandie, have you ever read any H.P Lovecraft or Poe? I think it was you that said you were a fan of them in another thread way way back.

Oh and id rather lose an leg to (but only from below the knee)! :p

Lovecraft,Clive barker & Poe were the originators, along with Arthur.C. Clarke.
When you look how long ago they wrote their books it is scary, so much of it has come true.

OK they might have been nutcases, but their writings were brilliant.

That is where all horror, sci fi started from.

Or how about people on BigFooty you WOULD like to meet in a dark alley, no witnesses, no-one to interfere, no way to escape.

Some posters may not be heard of again for quiet some time

Another death threat, by the way it is quite, not quiet.
And to think I was just about to congratulate you for liking Harry Chapin.

Actually, if you go back further people like Shelly, Swift, Bros Grimm, Andersons (original) fairy tale stuff (alot of 'folk' tales) is where much of Poe, Verne, Blackwood, Lovecraft first found their inspiration. But your deadset right about Herb and Edgar being total nutcases. Must have been hell for them but thankfully they wrote some great stuff to leave for us to appreciate.

Btw, the title of the thread 'Enough is enough' is that old Donna Summer song! Its great to sing along to as well! :D ;)

I don't think walking around on one hand would be easy either. :p

I've thought a lot about this arm and leg thing.

I think a leg, a leg would be easier to replace and be less of an obstacle than a missing arm.

Mantis & Grendel,

Have you ever read any Raymond Chandler books? I'm not sure how scary they are (being that I haven't read one), but apparently screw with your mind a great deal.

:D

It's a Raymond Chandler evening at the end of someones day
And I'm standing in my pocket, and I'm slowly turning grey
And the golden leaves a falling in a spiral from the sky
And there's a body on the railing that I can't identify
And I'd like to reassure you but I'm not that kind of guy.

I think that's right. There's about 10 other lines that I can't remember, but you get the idea that he's pretty twisted. That verse is from 'The Crow' comic book. His books are detective/murder mysteries, so you may appreciate them.

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Funny you should say that, many kiddies have lost limbs after they were attacked by killer pitbulls like Kenny.

Puppies, illness.
