Other Teams
carlton
This is the worst carlton side in history and i can not understand why Denis Pagan keeps playing reject players in our team. Denis has made a huge mistake in recruiting these players. After 2003 he cleaned out the place and instead of youth he recruited hacks he thought of short term instead of long.
I have had it NOTHING against these players but they should not play in the seniors again. Its time to start from square 1.

Glen Bowyer - to slow cant kick or mark
Prendagast - just runs around
Bannister - should be running the 400m
Macrath- kicks the ball to the opposition
Jonhson ?
Chambers - his fit
Longmuir - why
Morrell - good reserves player
Scotland - go back to collingwood

Why play them

Its time play Blackwell, Norman, Fisher , Livingstone, Russell,
Raso.

We as a club have to start from scratch. I know not having draft picks has destroyed the club but Denis Pagan has gone about it the wrong way.

At the moment we are like the Brisbane Bears NO HOPE!

And most of those players came to the club by using draft picks. I know they were only late draft picks, but surely one or two or those youngsters would've become handy players.

Here's a list of the young players we could have had. Make of it what you will:

Glen Bowyer - pick 63. Could of had Brent Hartigan, Shane Tuck, ect..

Bannister - pick 69. Could of had Brent Hartigan, Shane Tuck, ect..

Chambers - pick 57 (Brad Smith).

Longmuir - pick 67 (Toby Stribling).

Scotland - pick 35 (Brent Hall). A tonne of good players left including Edward Sansbury, Ricky Dyson, Amon Buchanon, Daniel Jackson, Julian Rowe and Micheal Rischitelli.

Mott - pick 57. Could have had Julian Rowe, Micheal Rischitelli, Shane Tuck, ect..

Now I'm not saying we would've picked up all these players, but we have a better chance of finding a decent player with a late draft pick than wasting it on a recycled hack.

Denis Pagan Cleaned Out The Club In 2003 And Now He Must Admit His Was Wrong And Clean Out The Club Again And This Time Use Our Draft Picks

He'll use the draft picks this time round, but he'll never blame himself for anything.

And why should Pagan be immune to bagging? He's lost the players. That is clear to me.

Just a bit harsh on Johnson, probably our best clearance player alongside Kouta. I reckon he was a very good pick up and a lot of teams would love him in their side. His a bit slow, but he clears the ball - his been in the best a ton of times.

You Forgot Davies! He"s Been There 4 Years And Is Totally Useless!

like most of the team he is down on confidence. He is one player i hope they persevere with a bit more before the years out.

Unless I'm mistaken, Raso will not play this year. He's still developing in his local club I think.
playing school footy i think. They said he could have gone top 10 at this years draft. I hope so!

great to focus on all the negatives

here's some positives from the draft/trades since the end of 2002

fisher 72
norman 79
thornton- elevated from rookie list
Barnaby French for Stephen Gilham
ADRIAN DELUCA 72
Chris Bryan 73

you will proberly state that this list add to your argument that there are some gems late in the draft, but there are also some dud's (cameron croad).
most draft picks are a gamble, some kids get to afl level and just can't make the transition to afl footy, others just don't have the want to do the hard yards.
carlton recruiting ex afl players means the club know's the players recruited can cut it at afl level (training, determination, mindset) and the change of club may be the thing to spark them.

Look Funkalicous, this year our main problem has not been the hacks we got (they are part of it) but rather our young players who have refused to take up the next step (apart from waite and walker). Players such as sporn, davies, prendergast, simpson (starting to improve), norman, fisher (been injured), bannister etc etc have constantly been our worst in matches and if you dont have good youngsters coming through you cannot be a good team. Kouta and stevens have carried this side for the whole season and have been overwhelmed at most times, its the easiest thing to do and blame the coach but he done what he thought was right and carlton started to earn some respect, his short term goal was RESPECT with the long term being obviously the premiership and its the players who should be blamed for the lack of effort and spirit not the coach

Just as long as they get rid of Pederast. Useless footballer - drop him! Would rather an untired kid, at least we'd know the kid would actually perform better. You think Clarke is bad? Hell, I've seen this goose stuff up more times than him.

He's been on our list longer than all the other "mid range" players who we'd like to see get the axe, it is strange why he isn't getting more criticism.

I'm with you Thrawn. He's a joke of a footballer. I still can't believe he's part of our leadership group.
