EPIC Fails on AFL LIVe 2011

What are some fails you have had on AFL LIVE? My worst one is probably hitting the post dead infront after playing on and being too cocky.

Beautiful play chipping it around freeing up runners. Kick it to the square got a man at the top no opponent, mark the ball play on, 2m from the goals I go to kick the ball and press the wrong button, handball straight back over my head to an opponent who clears.

Left me facepalming.

Playing against Stupid Gimp online.

Was up by 10 points with only 2 minutes to go, marked the ball with Foley about 55-60 metres out (in position for a set shot). Saw Houli just off the mark and being a smartarse I thought I'd go to him and just run in for an easy goal. I choose instead of handballing straight away that I'd play on and then handpass to the free man in Houli. But since I was in goal kick mode, the switch of camera from behind Foley to the regular default view completely threw off where I was handballing and instead handball it the other way to where Houli was standing right to the man on the mark.

I over commit to the man with Foley and get evaded very easily. He runs it up the other end and kicks an easy goal.

Next ruck contest he gets it down easy and kicks another goal. I lose the match by 2 points after being up relatively comfortably with the ball 60 metres from goal with only 2 minutes left.

FML.

I was definitely going to do that, but I thought with the free man there that I'd give the handball off and run in to seal it. Just was a completely ****ed up play that cost me a ton of momentum.

I love when you get the tap in the centre, bomb it long to your forwards, goes out on the full and the game calls it a goal! D:

One I used to do early on was keep hitting X to try and skip the goal umpire signalling a point screen, only to watch in horror as my man taking the kickout chipped it to the opposition for an easy shot at goal.

First time playing not really getting the goal kicking, tried to take a set shot from about 20 out directly in front... Ended up kicking it through for a behind. Other favourite was running into a open goal with King, mixing up the controls and pumping it through for a rushed behind when i hit handball by mistake.

Extra fail was losing that game to gold coast by 8 goals in the middle of harvey norman.

My biggest one was being down by 2 points after leading pretty much all of the game. There was under a minute to go and they cleared the ball from the middle. I spoil the oppositions kick, handball over the top, kick wide to the wing, run it down and boot long to naita in the fwd line who has doubled back and is by himself. He runs onto it in the square and snaps it and hits the post and siren sounds and I lose by a point!

Another one was playing freo. Was down by 11 points with a minute to go. Quick clearance by cox to kerr who runs on and kicks to lynch. Lynch kicks a goal so i'm down by 5. Back to the square and I hit it out and quick kick forward to rosa. He marks and kicks long to lynch who marks just before the siren 10 mtrs out from goal but the game finishes. Was devo as this would have been my first win lol

Also does anyone else sometimes get lag and then all of a sudden the ball is up the other end and they have kicked a goal. So freakin annoying.

Have had a few moments like that. Took a mark 35 out and then the game kinda just stood still then the ball ballooned and was back in the middle with a goal added to the opposition. Wasn't happy since I was about to go back and slot a goal.

Its a glitch I have notited twice in this game but when running into goal, I torpedo it on the goal line straight through the middle... Out of bounds of the full.

Mis-reading the scores and thinking i was 3 points up, when i was actually 3 points down. Spent the last minute icing the clock and then once the siren went and the other team's music started playing, realised what i'd done.

I do this regularly - streaming through the middle, kick to Hansen who takes an easy mark at the top of the centre square, try to get the ball to the top of the goal square too quickly while Hansen is running back to get over the mark and kick the ball out of bounds near the interchange. Ive done this a few times when Petrie is out on the lead and scream at the TV

Not a game epic fail, but during a game my controller (which has suffered some beatings at the hands of me, and some young cousins who like to throw stuff) right thumbstick snapped inside and now doesnt centre. Can't play the game anymore as I'm constantly sheperding or spoiling. How annoying.

I regularly hit the "go into set shot mode" button too early when taking a mark, which usually means my player will snap the ball out of bounds on the full instead of going back and slotting one from 15m out straight in front.

Playing online, close game. Im kicking out from full back after an opposition behind. Decide to play on and run out about 10m, opposition full forward running at me so i load up for a big torp only to kick it straight into the full forward who somehow just essentially grabs it from my boot runs past me and kicks a goal.

I just picture the guy im playing online laughing his head off

I still do it sometimes....
