Put the following post in the Media and entertainment board thread on the 30 for 30 series, but thought those who have ESPN might not be aware of the thread

ESPN will have 26 sports docos between Friday and New Years day evening. Most are the 30 for 30 docos and the extended series which is technically called ESPN Films presents. 10 days ago in the US they showed the 49th in the series called You don't know Bo - about Bo Jackson. Bo Jackson was Nike's precursor to Jordan. In 1988-1990 Jackson was playing both MLB and NFL and staring, was the first man to made the all star team for both spots, but a hip injury cut both sports careers short. For 24 months he was as big as Jordan was in a marketing sense.

Anyway on Saturday night/Sunday morning I saw #46 in the series

There's No Place Like Home
Maura Mandt and Josh Swade 1.007[25] October 16, 2012
The story of one fan's obsessive quest to purchase (at a 2010 auction) James Naismith's original rules of basketball, perhaps the most important historical document in sports history, and to bring it "home" to Lawrence, Kansas, where Naismith taught and coached at the University of Kansas for more than 40 years.

A Uni of Kansas alumni and obsessed Jayhawks basketball fan finds out that the original rules of game written by the inventor who spent 40 years at UofK were going on sale for the first time. He had 30 days to do something about raising the funds from the Uni and its alumni to bring the rules back home. The You Tube link below is a trailer and if you go to the You tube page you can see the link to the 61min 44 sec doco on the right hand side.

Starting on Friday 4am EST/3.30am CST - ESPN they have a SEC Storied - 40 minutes of Hell
"Film Explores the Coach Behind the Arkansas Men’s Basketball Dynasty of the Early 1990s (Nolan Richardson), including his Bond with Former President Bill Clinton....The film explores the rise, fall and re-birth of a legendary coach and a time when the state of Arkansas was at the epicenter of American culture."

SEC Storied is a documentary series which explores the rich athletic history of the Southeastern Conference college sports. It's all got to do with ESPN signing a 15 year deal with the Southeastern Conference football, men and women's basketball, Olympic sports and championships. See

You Don't Know Bo
Michael Bonfiglio N/A December 8, 2012
Bo Jackson hit 500 ft. home runs, ran over linebackers, and—for a short period—he was the best athlete we had ever seen. You Don’t Know Bo takes a closer look at the man and marketing campaign that shaped his legacy. More than 20 years later, myths and legends still surround the famously press shy athlete, and his impossible feats still capture our collective imagination.

....

If you use your Foxtel remote and hit the TV guide button, use the search function and red button and type in ESPN docos you get the 26 doco's info doube up with 52 results for both the HD and non HD channel.

Couldn't wait to the 29th after I saw the link the media and entertainment thread.

If you don't know Bo Jackson you gotta watch.
