We are a better side than Melbourne, West Coast, Fremantle, Richmond, Carlton and North Melbourne. With Lucas and many big players returning mid season I believe we'll be fighting to make the 8, but we'll defenently make the 10.

yeah as much as i hate to say it, for the first time in my life richmond are actually promising to be something. too bad about richo finding his niche once his career is nearly over.

Anyway, relating to the thread, we might make the top 10, but I wouldn't be making any predictions about us yet, a few question marks on people coming back about whether or not they'll return sooner or later such as Dempsey, Lucas & Davey, and we are a very vulnerable when getting hurt on the rebound, add to that our young team, I think we should just leave our bald predictions when we have a full team and our boys grow in confidence & presence....

Just never heard of finishing 9th or 10th spoken of with such enthusiasm is all. Something I would expect of one the supporters of the team you have confused me being one of, not a Bomber supporter.
Looking forward to next week and seeing whose kids are progressing the better. Both teams should drop all the 'older' types and let the 'future' play IMO.

We have been a really successful club, we are involved in a strong rebuilding phase atm and we haven't had top draft picks for sometime because of our success...So all I expect from the Bombers boys against Richmond is a competitive effort, not really demanding a win, just wanting to see some real positives from some of our real classy young players...If we both play our kids, your mob will probably just win, but it wouldn't come as a surprise because we have had some success and have no top draft picks for sometime and our new coach is changing our game-plan, so yeah, but would demand nothing less than a competitive effort no doubt...

All this talk about Richmond finally being about to do something, we beat Swans today and we're above your ass, LYAO about that!
We will finish 12th. We are better than WCE, Freo, Melbourne and Carlton. Richmond will finish 11th. We are having a bad run with injuries ATM and when our side is fit, we can do well. By round 11 we will probably be last but when Lucas comes back we will get some wins over better sides in the 2nd half of 08. It will set up a finals appearance in 09.

i love essendon and the future looks bright i would prefer we dont make the top 10 and only win 5 games or less t get priority picks. The 3 drafts after this and we wont get anyone so we must find 3 or 4 very good yougnsters this year. We need some tall defenders as Ryder looks the only type and D.Myers i dont think could take the 2nd best opposition forward.
