essendonfc.com.au will it be affected with the new Telstra rights??

Does anybody know if essendonfc.com.au the official Essendon website will be affected in anyway from the new deal the AFL has struck up with Telstra?
Some dude on another thread (http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274329&page=2) thinks essendonfc.com.au will cease operation from December 31 2006 under the terms of the new AFLTN 2007-11 contract
Can anybody clear this up?

Apparently it will be happening to an extent.

All 16 clubs are getting $500K-$600K to be part of the AFLTN rubbish.

I don't know if this will mean that Essendons official website will be bombersfc.com.au and essendonfc.com.au will become a token site or not. My guess is that one will become the official site and the other will be canned.

I can't say much more about it but I know that Essendon are going with the AFL on this.

As long as it's pretty much the same as it is already, just with a new URL, i won't be unhappy as long as we are compensated enough $$$ so we aren't losing anything.

I think everyone is jumping the gun like the last time. I am going to wait until I hear officially from the club that Bomberland is finished, surely it would have been mentioned there by now, if it was going to finish.

If it's only the money, surely we can afford to tell them to shove their money & keep our site.

If we do lose Bomberland, I hope every Bomber boycott's the ****ty AFL site.

Apparently with this new deal there is a few problems that still have to be worked out.

As you know Telstra are, unfortunately, behind it. One of Essendon's sponsors is 3, the Kanga's and the Dee's have both got iPrimus etc.

There is some complications with this setup that are still being discussed.
