Listening to the new midfield coach Paul Hamilton the other day, he declared all spots open so that anyone who could show they're capable would be considered for the midfield rotation.
You can't buy class but you can buy fitness and endurance, and I thought our midfield ran out of puff last year after the injuries mounted and despite our much publicised fitness levels. The prelim against WC was the classic example when their midfielders broke our tackles at will and ran riot in the 2nd half.
Will be interesting to see who measures up and who doesn't. The more midfielders you have the better I think because it means the classier ones can go all out during their rotation, or can be rested in a set position rather than on the bench and out of the action.
