Hello Eagles fans. Just wanting to get your opinion on this guy we drafted who was delisted by you guys. Several mungbeans on the Carlton board are a pretty big wrap for him after he had a decent Wizard Cup, but he has been injured for most of the season so far.

While I have only seen him play a few times both for WCE, Carlton and our VFL affiliate, IMO he's completely useless and I can see why you sacked him. It would be good to get a little support on this as I'm sick of ramming my head against a brick wall on the Carlton board. I swear some of those idiots have watched their team, and only their team, their whole lives.

What type of injury has he sustained?

His time at the Eagles:

Most accurate kick on goal at the club

One of the fittest / endurance type players.

Was used as a burst type player on the bench in 03. Thats not denegrating his performance. When he came onto the field for short bursts, was able to dominate.

Fell out of favour in 04, due to the abundance of midfielders at WCE.

The rest is history.

Didnt he do his knee? I think with the lack of quality in the middle for the Blues, when he gets fit, Chambo should cement a spot. Very handy player.

could probably average somewhere between 17-18 touches a game as an outside type midfielder, however i think he may struggle in a team like carlton where they dont really have a gun midfielder, apart from stevens, to hand the ball off to him.

and was probably more suited to subiaco because of its wide running spaces, may struggle in the smaller telstra dome.

I think he ran afoul of Woosha new "You have to be hard at it to stay in the team" style of coaching. In particular, i remember him pulling out at a game at Subi one week, was immediately benched, and the next time i saw him he was playing for Carlton.

I rated Chambers but only in the right setup. He wont go and get his own ball like a Judd, Kerr, Cousins will do. Rather he will wait for the ball to be farmed out. He is no doubt an outside midfielder. However when he gets the ball he can be damaging, he is extremely fit, has very good skills and LOVES to kick goals on the run.

A few times with WC he would put together 20 touches and 2 goals type games but that would usually be when we are dominating. When we struggle he used to disappear.
