Has anyone looked into flights back from launceston on the 22nd of April.
Only one Qantas flight looks feasable in coming back after the game and it's over $300!

Highway robbery!

That's crazy, I can fly from Melbourne to Thailand chaeper than that. You'd think the club would look into chartering a flight for fans.

last night i booked for 4 people.
bought 1 down at $237
bought 3 down at $267
bought 4 back at $137

all Jetstar

every minute the low fares were being bought up,
so i had to buy the next cheapest fare.

When i left the site there was only 5 seats left at $267, and then the cheapest was apparently $319.

If i rang them and booked first up (not the internet, which failed on the transaction 3 times), i would have saved myself about $120.

I get to see a game in my home state (yeahh).
This of coarse is not so good for victorian members.

I bought 3 fares with Virgin for the Round 9 game v WCE (May 26) and they cost 3 x $70 there, and 3 x $90 back = total $480.

I'm pretty happy with that.

can always take the tug boat over and back with a car for less

Back when the fixture came out I checked the prices and it was $70 e/w.
Should have taken the initiative then

Well, i've done some forward planning and have booked for the Kangaroos game and the Port Adelaide game later in the season already. $150 return.
;) :thumbsu:

Would love to see the club charter a few planes/special promotion (reduced fares) with an airline that could fit 200 odd supporters each and try to get a few more ppl across to watch, ok it might only be a once off but still it might encourage a few more 'mainlanders' to get behind the Tassie deal. Had a great time in 2005 when I went with my brother!

I realise we can't get a jumbo jet into Launceston but still would be great to get a few plane loads of Hawks on top of the scheduled flights already operating there/Spirt of Tassie.

Go Hawks!
Go to Tassie....well worth it guys!
