Have got it.

Just got into playing and there is still no option for Australian Nationality when doing Career Mode, yet there is England & United Kingdom, FFS!

What do you mean still, it was in last year's version i'm pretty sure?

That is correct. Unless they've taken it out then it should still be an option.

Willl most likely be getting this as I enjoyed last year's version. Hopefully it improves on that too.
 
I got this game today, I did the trade in that I mentioned earlier in this thread, although one JB had their system crash for the guy in front of me, so I had to find another JB, but all's good now.

The game has improved, the feel of the car is much more realistic, well as far as a non F1 driver like myself could tell, and the detail is much better.

The adjustments you make to your car now make a bigger difference too, and I just can't stop spinning out with traction control off, so I've gone back to medium to get some confidence up.

I'm doing a career mode at the moment, still on the first race at Melbourne, and I keep forgetting to use DRS and Kers.:D

Anyway, off to practice more, I'll play some online stuff after the footy's over this weekend, on Sunday and beyond.:thumbsu:

Edit: Tip, don't press DRS mid turn, it doesn't turn out well at all, HAHA.

Just done a pass using DRS & KERS, wow! going to have so much fun with this.

onto Kuala Lumpur, and the graphics in the wet are insane. Easily poos all over 2010, and your right the car feels totally different to what it was in 2010... for the better though.
 
This game is insane! Feels a lot more realistic, the handling is incredible. In 2010 your car seemed to stick to the surface, here you can feel it drift out as you take a corner. You can also attack the curbs without fear of spinning out which is great.

KERS is great, you can hear the extra power when you hold it down and fly past someone. Didn't get the chance to use DRS.

Played some online and its completely different in the way you earn XP. Crash into someone and you lose 5, have a clean lap and you gain 5. Depending on what car you are driving you'll also have different objectives. So if you're in a shitbox then it's not expected that you will come first, but if you are driving the Redbull then it is expected you finish top. Complete your objective and you gain XP, don't and you lose XP. It's a pretty good way of getting around those first corner shenanigans, but ultimately some idiot will fly up behind you.
 
Grabbed it after work and just had a few quick races. Can confirm Australian IS in the game as a nationality, just as it was last year.
The handling is going to take some getting used to, quite a bit different to last year. Also the dynamic racing line is a bit harder to read for braking points. Feels good though.

After you press it, you know it's on because where it was once fully green, it is now flashing.

Just did the Sepang track qualifying, and man was DRS and Kers a god send around there, I saved the Kers for the final 2 straights, but DRS if you time it right down some of the shorter straights really cuts your lap time.

I love them both, they add more strategy to the game, especially during races considering both aren't available all the time.

I'm in a Force India on the second hardest AI setting (still have auto gears and corners only line on, plus medium traction) but I just qualified in the top 10.
 
My god they have fixed the tires when you come out of a pit stop in a race.

You almost can't drive, the tires are blue on the HUD, and basically for half a lap you have to tip toe your way around the track.

So many improvements so far, loving it.

Just threw in my copy and it is NOT in the game on ps3.

So explain why it's on my PS3 copy then? I assume you guys realise Australia isn't in Europe and thus changed your continent before selecting your nation?

How the **** did you change your continent? I didn't even see the option.
I didn't look real hard either lol, just wanted to jump on quickly and have a crack.

When it first asks where you're from, don't push X yet. The first option is continents, change it from Europe to Australasia first.
 
Just practiced the Singapore track. Unbelievable. Extremely realistic. From tyre wear to terrible handling round bends with DRS
 
How's online? I know you can jump into a lobby while a race is on, but can you actually watch the race while it's happening?

Can't wait to get this tomorrow night.
