Just putting it out there, Baku is a ****ing fun track to fly around

2016 version out now. Haven't picked it up yet - much better than last year's?

Much better than last year's. I've only done one race in career mode but it looks the goods already. They've now given you reason to do practice mode. There are a few different practice objectives to meet (tyre saving, quali runs, hitting the racing line) which net you points to put towards improving your car.

Manual starts are cool and long overdue as well.

Oh they're definitely easy, but just a cool addition.

I've only done a few time trials at a mate's house, drives well enough (and a bit different from 2015), but can't comment on the rest of it

I should never have said the difficulty needs upping.

Career mode is impossible.

I am terrible, can not drive a lap with all the assists etc turned off.

Because I am an idiot and chose Pro Career

Normal Career can change all settings

Haven't tried controller mate, only a wheel, so can't really comment.

I tried Project cars the other day again. Im pretty sure that is a wheel game only. F1 tends to be controller friendly so I might give it a crack.

Game is awesome

Controller is fine

Career mode is a massive improvement on previous versions

Great game, lots of attention to detail

one thing ..........- I havent played a huge amount of hours but its taking a bit of work to find a good level of difficulty.

Combo of driving assists/aids vs AI ability is proving tough.

I get it either too easy or too hard bordering on impossible

How have you found the game anyway?

I'm Still on project cars a few times a week. Joined up at ROOZ so have a bunch of oz guys to race against during the week. Top fun, but yeah, would be a nightmare trying to keep up with them with a controller.

I haven't got f1 yet, just done a few time trials at a mates place. That part is good fun. Might have to pick it up soon and test out the single player part.

Still reckon they need to add in GP2 and the Formula series to have a half decent career mode. From what i've read you can start career mode at any team

Correct, who you choose does alter your goals though. If you choose a Manor, your goals are basically beat your team mate and improve the car. If you choose a Mercedes, your goal is to win obviously.

Online is as bad as I've ever seen unfortunately. Half the drivers on there seem like they're playing Mario Kart.

Will be buying this once I get back from Europe. Haven't played a decent F1 game since F1 2012, but all the reviews are saying this is the best F1 game of all time so I'll be keen to pick it up.

The joys of online motor racing...

Only way around it is to get with an organised group. Check out Raceonoz if you're keen. I've been driving around in Project Cars with guys from there and it's awesome fun.

You can race non-contact races can't you, which essentially turns them into lap by lap time trials
