You would think it would have to be around $600k, not that I have any insights into our salary cap payments

Mundy has appeal, cant see him moving. Ibbotson is a curious one too that we could pick up reasonably cheap.

I'd take Boak in a heartbeat, but he wont leave Port now.

Goldstein if we see ourselves as a hardcore premiership threat and we dont think Grundy is quite up to it yet

Hurn would add a lot as well.

I dont see the rest as either attainable or adding anything to our current list

James Frawley would be a excellent addition. Would say Mundy but no way in hell he leaves Freo.

i vaguely remember reading something that seemed well sourced that we had geared up to have a raid at someone next year and the suggestion was could be via FA. Its nto clear in that list who they could be hunting bc the only area of weakness in the list looks to be a KPF and a smart proven HF medium sized type. In saying that probably cant have to many mids I guess.

I think Mundy would be a ripper but staggered if they let him walk albeit he was touted as a bit home sick a while ago and the Pies are good at this stuff.

The number one target should be Gibbs. He is still very young & his best footy to come. His foot skills are brilliant. Playing him off half back is his go rather than in the midfield. He has the perfect attributes to be that quaterback/Hodge type of player. He can take all the kick outs & he also has a good defensive side to his game. This is the sort of player we are missing on our list. He so far has underacheived and been potted as soft etc, but in the right role he can be an excellent player. Midfield is not his place.

Failing Gibbs, Hurn is another decent option that would give our backline some punch.

Boak & Mundy as big bodied midfielders also appeal. Can't see Boak moving now, but there is a possibility of Mundy I think coming back to Vic.

Frawley is an excellent key defender & still very young, but not sure he is really something we desperately need.

Walker is a curious one but not sure he ticks that many boxes and feel you would be paying over the odds for a guy who really has no specific role to play at the Pies.

With your FA's you are generally paying an inflated price so its important that who you target fills a specific need & makes you stronger thus making them worth the dollars. Basically the opposite of what the Blues did with Daisy. On that basis guys like Gibbs, Hurn, Mundy & Boak would all improve us.

Yeah, I'd be happy for Gibbs just to return home. As long as he leaves without any compensation to Carlton, I'm all good. I also hope we get Hurn, although if Gibbs leaves, we will get some fierce competition from Carlton for him.

Having Hurn's cannon in our back half is exactly what we need for the short term. We have a fairly average looking backline at the moment, and Hurn would improve this immeasureably in 2015.

If we felt there was a legit chance of a premiership, then perhaps look at...

I'm a huge fan of Priddis, but dont think he is what we need.

Could Minson be a shot? If Witts doesn't work out?

Gibbs is a great player, and would be a good get, but I think if he went anywhere it would be back home.
