Why wouldn't they try and pick up an indigenous talent with say Pick 22 then. Eg: Troy Taylor

I think Troy Taylor's family have made it pretty clear they don't want him to play for WCEs and we'll respect that. I think there were even some quotes on the AFL website alluding to this. Personally, I would be quite happy with Allen Christensen or Nicholas Winmar at 23. It's probably a bit over the odds but there you go.

I doubt the Dee's would take Lucas, a forward will be locked in at eleven. I reckon Port would look at Panos more than Butcher but believe that will go after Vardy. I think Sydney would be a chance to snap up Butcher first anyway. Depends on Bradshaw.

If both Port and Sydney/North take KPF then a very handy mid will have slipped and worth serious consideration especially given that the the next best KPF will probably still be there at 18.

West Coast have their eye on someone else at 7 but with Wirra retiring they have been told they MUST select an indigenous player in this draft. They don't know if they want to take the risk on Jetta surviving to 22 because if they get caught out they might have to select someone they have no interest in.

There is absolutely 0% chance that this is true.

I believe the Eagles thing to be true. I have no proof of this but I have heard similar things. Think about it: West Coast currently have no indigenous players on their main list. If they don't draft any then our enemies will play the race card for sure. It will be all over the Melbourne media: racist eagles snub indigenous talent.

The West Coast Eagles are not governed by the South African Government (although some would argue Vlad is worse). This is rubbish, and even if they take an indigenous player in the draft, I will still maintain it to be rubbish until proven otherwise.

Pigswoddle. No club would tell their recruiters they must get a token. Just as likely Worsfold will do a "Hey, Hey" and get Lynch and Cox to paint their faces black.

The big thing against you Faith as to believability is that I am sure the clubs haven't even decided who they are taking at the moment. Still a fair way away and a lot of film to be re-watched, reports to be re-read and discussions to be had before things are set in stone.

I would be very comfortable betting that not all of those players will be picked in the top 12 on the day. There are always a few surprises and things change right up to the death. When did word come last year that Rich was falling? In the last week or so speculation started and even then Brisbane did not plan for him to be there when they picked.

This year expect last minute speculation that Morabito is not locked in at 4 and a bit of a smokey in the top 10.

From what im told Morabito is the 3rd best player in this draft and will go 3rd or 4th. His work rate is not at a very high standard yet, if it was he would be #1 in this draft.
Very similar to Des Headland.

A little paranoid there Coasting?

Our enemies??? What are you smoking and reading???

The headline would also have to work in some reference to gangs, elicit drug abuse, steroids and Chris Masten and your lot would truly come out swinging ;)

There is no way the club would select Jetta based on his race. They will pick best available. The only toss up being if there are 2 equal players, then select based on needs.

Not paranoid, just understanding how WCE think and act. I guarantee that WCE will draft an indigenous player at either 7, 22 or 23 - most likely at 7. We shall see if I am right.

You may draft an indingenous player with those picks but that would be based on merit, not race. If you were to re-draft Sampi I would be convinced of your theory.

5NM:Cunnington (from what im told clearly the best 5 players. NM want him).
6.Syd:Rohan (gun attributes but doesnt get involved enough. Whispers he may slip further down, but shouldnt. Unlikely to go top 5) ;

You switched them round?

You switched them round?

I said that as i receive new ifo i will update this thread.
Yesterday i was told that NM will go for Cunnington if available at 5.
Before this i said that the recruiter that i speak to rates Rohan at 5.
Bit confusing i know.

Talk is Rohan doesnt get involved enough, even though his x-factor qualities are superior to Cunnington's.
Cunnington is safer option, therefore NM will take him. Rohan if you can fix his problem will be GUN!
Talk is some clubs have been scared off a bit with Rohan, and could slip a bit.

I reckon you are full of sh1t :thumbsu:

Hopefully you do a bit better than last season. BTW, hear is my 'inside' phantom top 10:

1 Tom Scully - Melbourne
2 Jack Trengove - Melbourne
3 Dustin Martin - Richmond
4 Anthony Morabito - Fremantle
5 Ben Cunnington - North Melbourne
6 Luke Tapscott - Sydney
7 Lewis Jetta - West Coast
8 Gary Rohan - Port Adelaide
9 Aaron Black - Port Adelaide
10 Kane Lucas - Essendon

I have been speaking to all recruiting teams, as well as watching plenty of videos on youporn, so you can take my word as gospel.

It is interesting FAITH is getting paid out so much.

The information he relayed was a good hint to what the crows were thinking last year.

What has come out since last year is a lot of comment from Rendell about where the crows rated certain players actually are very close to those desribed by FAITH

Now dont ask me to quote radio shows dates times etc but Rendell has come out and clearly said

TRENGOVE - the bargain of the draft if his leg comes good.
McKERNAN - was in very close to being our selection at pick 10. Pretty much implied if Davis had gone McKernan would have gone at 10.

Just enjoy his post as another hint to what clubs are thinking.

Clubs dont even know the top 4 yet, everyone is just guessing.

A port supporter defending me. :thumbsu:

Trengove is better than Scully.
Tapscott to Sydney.. way off!
Jetta to WC....I wonder were you got that from? Your source?

Faith what are your thoughts re some of the talls (KPP's)in this draft and your best guess where they might head? It seems some phantoms have them going early, even if they are not rated, where others have midfielders dominating due to their relative depth this year.

I was told a few months ago that the absolute quality midfs will go top 7.
Initiallly it was thought that this draft would hardly have any good talls.
About have way through the year a few talls have come out of no where similar to Mitch Brown i think is his name that Geelong picked up last year with their first pick.
They are likely to go 10-20.
