It's no different from just playing though, offline or online you're still playing and getting better.

When she's playing online she gets a couple of minutes practice and then has to wait for the next game to load. She's not used to playing games so an offline mode where she can just practice running around, jumping etc would help her get the hang of the basics much more quickly.

Had a 3 win streak going this morning, 4th one on Fall Mountain and the crown decides to stay up high, random catches up and jumps into the crown that magically appeared back at the bottom...

2nd time that ones lagged on me, worst part is the next game was fall mountain again and i won... that would've been the 5 in a row trophy
