Fallout 3 isn’t too far of New Vegas, if you like NV and 4 you should like 3.

Its more just how it holds up to aging tbh

Fallout 3 was great.

Never got to play NV as it crashed too much before I traded it in.

Fallout 4 was awesome because of the settlement/build mechanics.

Still a nightmare to play without mods but absolutely worth it.
