2 of my favourite days of all 2008 were the Freo and Brisbane wins. I unfortunately was playing footy when we played against West Coast.

It is a weird subject though. The 2007 tank-off was a farce and not an overly exciting win. It was hard to enjoy it when the Carlton fans were cheering for us just as much.

I'm against tanking but I'm not against playing the youngsters if the seasons lost and letting some players have early surgery. We are already doing that in a way. Jeff White would still be in our best 22 this year but it was the right decision to let him go.

If we can get the best player in the competition and the best defender in the competition from father son picks then i will be well against tanking too.

The reason Geelong are so good = awesome recruiting coupled with father son picks. Look at their 2001 draft.

No, you can't.

Wins do a huge amount for the psyche of our young players.

Once we have that list as best as we can get it...then we can start to win games. Not now.

Win, Win, Win....that's what we should aim to do each week.

If we can string a few wins together, it will be great for our fans, supporters, players, sponsors etc etc.... A winning mentality is an amazing thing.

BUT, getting picks one and two would be a handy bit of compensation if we fail to win more than four games simply by not having the talent to do so.

Doesn't mean we should be aiming for that to start with though.

Why even bother watching your team in the short term? If you don't want the side to do their best in every game you're one forum account and a membership away from being one of these scum glory hunters who show up when we're in finals.

I don't think we're good enough to win the games anyway, and I'm sure if we go close then Rhys Healey will be named captain and Warnock will play at FF, but as a long suffering fan I'd rather let the dice fall as they do instead of getting on our knees and taking 15 footballing dicks in the mouth for payment.

Of course it's the AFL that has the ultimate responsibility for this shit. Rules that cause people to cheer against their own side are a joke. I just can't believe we've sunk to the level where we're involving ourselves in it.

Nobody is comparing Melbourne and Carlton, however what is being compared is you and the rest of "pro-tanking ****wits" and Carlton. You're as bad as them.
