?? You want everyone to live 20 minutes to the city??No doubt, but this takes the conversation on a whole new tangent, with people being obsessed with going into debt to own that 'dream home' on some shithole 600sqm and in some shithole new suburb that necessitates them undertaking such long commutes to work.
Again, it's a life choice.
People gonna people.
That's the problem these days particularly amongst my age groups. People want to live these luxurious lifestyles from day one and then seem to end up consumed by work.No doubt, but this takes the conversation on a whole new tangent, with people being obsessed with going into debt to own that 'dream home' on some shithole 600sqm and in some shithole new suburb that necessitates them undertaking such long commutes to work.

People gonna people.
People should be a lot smarter with where they live, what car they buy from the start of their working life.?? You want everyone to live 20 minutes to the city??

I'm saying that people make these choices voluntarily. Nobody forces you to buy a new home in the middle of buttf*** Idaho.
It's a bit rich to then go and complain about it when you get fat.
I have stacked on weight twice in my life, first when i moved out of home and didnt know how to cook for myself with any decency, just ate and drank myself from 80 kg to high 90s over about three years. I lost all that weight over the course of a year after getting on the scales, seeing 98 kilos, and realsing I never wanted to weigh over a hundred kgs at six foot, and deciding to stop eating fast, drink way less, and not allowing myself any snacks like chips and chocolate anymore.
I ended up putting weight on again after getting an office job, that was laziness again, just stopped going to the gym after work because I was too tired, which just mad it worse looking back. This time it just took me looking at a photo of myself and realising I looked like shit to make me start going to the gym and eating properly again.
So I can understand how people can be like I have been before and carrying an extra ten or twenty kilos, its just laziness and a bad diet combining, its when I see people like my current boss, who would be minimum 150kgs, I just genuinely don't understand how they do it. I don't think i could physically eat enough to get there and maintain that kind of weight. And I see so many of them now.
This seems a bit specific, do you know a fat campaigner who whinges about living in the sticks or something?
Lol some nasty campaigners in this thread
Walk around the supermarket and get an eye full of some of the shit people buy. I swear there are people who must live off soft drink. I drink circa 2 litres of water daily, there are gooses who drink circa 2 litres of coke.

There is something different about hungry jacks and mcdonalds. It converts to fat and gives a swollen appearance to people who consume it almost immediately. Also most of the people i see in the queue at subway get Chicken fillets, with cheese, bacon, chip-tole sauce, etc.
They might as well be at KFC or Mcdonalds.
Or they have living/working circumstances which they regularly blame for their lack of exercise.Only a small proportion of people complaining would have estates. Being one hour from the city simply means being at the end of the train line quite often in poorer suburbs.
You were talking about someone buying a house in the middle of bum**** Idaho and complaining about being fat. I don't know, seemed like you knew someone like this, so do you?
Tayl0r answered for me, but I wouldn't have to know anyone personally to see it being used as an excuse. This thread will do nicely.
People loathe having their life choices questioned or criticised. Especially when it is about their lifestyle, habits and where they live.
Yet, at the same time, they'll use these things...things that they voluntarily chose...as excuses for what ails them.
Ok then, fair enough. But do you like people questioning how you live your life though? I don't think anyone enjoys this.
But it is.Top of the list are those who use their commute an an excuse for why they don't think they have time to work out.
Do you own a house?I sill vividly remember in primary school right as these estates were becoming really popular a teacher of mine travelling forty minutes each way to a school that isn't even in the city and was a five to ten minute trip for everyone else.
My parents and others were much smarter when buying a house. They purchased a reasonable twenty year old house in a suburb twenty kilometres from the city and have never found themselves consumed by work to pay it off. It's still not ideal for travelling into the city but still means they can afford to work less and not spend their lives working all the time.
. Pretty sure people in Australia work longer hours than anywhere else.
.
Don't group yourself with those who complain about not being fit as a result of their own life choices and you aren't the problem. But it is.
When I lived 10 mins from work and didn't have kids I went to the gym 4 times a week.
I travel 1.5 hours to work each way. I don't live in a new house in an estate. & I work ridiculous hours.
Yeah, I could quit my job but I do have a mortgage. Maybe you don't understand house prices in Melbourne. I'm looking for somewhere closer but it doesn't happen easily.
You're being really ignorant. Far out mate, I'd love to go to the gym everyday. I do enough and eat healthy again, but only a twat would think it's as easy as making time. Pretty sure people in Australia work longer hours than anywhere else.
You say 'excuse' but seriously, sometimes it can be a legitimate one.
