This. Mead plays like someone who has no confidence in himself to do anything right.

This seems to be the case.

He doesn't seem to have much confidence in any aspect of the game. When this happens, you don't actively hunt the ball and he always seems to be around but never in it.

Unless Carr completely changes his confidence, he's delist material next year. Blokes have easily surpassed him.

He's pretty average, but far from the worst I've ever seen put on the guernsey. It's likely he won't make it there, but you never know. At least they're trying something different with him. Shittier players than him have carved out decent careers as a lockdown small defender.

As a lockdown defender I don't see it. He's not fast and not great overhead.

Just feels a player that's average or slightly below average at everything. He's not alarmingly bad at anything either.

I thought he was alright in the new role. He got a lot of the footy late which padded his stats but overall he was probably a 6/10.
