Favourite GF moment

Just wondering what everyone's favorite grand final moment was? (other than the obvious siren sounding -)

There will be a lot of Didak's goal and Shaw's smother but mine is 15:31 3rd quarter Sharrod Wellingham's goal check side

Being smack bang in the center behind saints cheer squad this was the moment for mine the contest was done and dusted. The fans around me were packing up and leaving and there was no stopping the noise from the pies main areas around the ground.

Epic day something I'll never forget

Saints bomb into their fwd 50. Daisy hurtles through the air, deflects the ball in flight and it goes to a Pies defender. They bomb it back to the wing, where Dawson waits under it and Dawes goes BANG - flattens Dawson and crumbs his own spoil.

Dawes handballs to Pendles. Pendles tears through the centre square, spots up Sidebottom running back with the flight and delivers beautifully. Right there, right then the candle of hope was snuffed out for St Kilda, even if it wasn't already barely flickering as Sidey slots it.

Legendary.

There were so many great moments though, Jolly running back and taking a strong contested mark in the backline was another.

Too many to choose from.

- Dawes bitching down Dawson on the win who gave to Pendles (part of an overall great play)

- Didak's goal is bigger than I think many realise

- Shaw's smother will go down in history as one of the all time great GF moments

- Wellingham's Judd like goal to the city end

- Harry's goal

Just too many. But because he's on my jumper, and under the circumstances of his injury, it has to be Didak's goal.

Heath's smother - He even knows how good it is. I love Heath. He is so dedicated on the field and a great leader. The run to stop a certain goal, it was as good as five goals for me, I yelled and screamed like we had won.

Harry's goal - Because his celebration, it made him look so happy, and hopefully people won't question whether he is dedicated to football anymore.

Nathan Brown - The coming of age story. The two Grand Finals on Riewoldt has given him a huge leap in experience.

The Final Siren - It confirmed it.

Not sure if anyone saw this but with about 2 minutes to go in the game, Didak was on the Great Southern Stand wing and proceeded to turn to us in the AFL members give a nice little fist pump then kissed the Collingwood emblem on his guernsey. Was pretty emotional stuff

Shaw's smother is the one everyone will remember. Unbelievable bit of play. I'm sure after watching their skipper fail like that the Saints were shattered.

The one that's going to stick with me for the rest of my life though is Wellingham's checkside goal. I was sitting behind the Pies cheer squad and the place erupted. At that moment when he kicked it I was certain we were going to win the flag.

The Didak kiss of the emblem, right in front of us at M22 was memorable. Just turned his back on the play gave us some attention. Everyone just went nuts. Truly amazing!

Maybe Dawes' mid air kick, to get us going ahead in the third...that started to decipher the game from GF1.

Maxy's smother last week, then Heater's and Didak's this week, simply awesome.

I think I'd have to go with Dawes' last quarter goal. I was so nervous at three quarter time and was desperate for the Pies to get the first goal of the last. And we did, pretty quickly and extremely stylishly!

Many of mine have been said but I will mention one that went unnoticed...

The pure speed and agility of Dale Thomas on that wing was WOW

Im biased toward Swanny...but i loved his goal, the way he plucked it of the pack, steadied and steered it through in his customary style, not all that stylishly but with love and care...
Then his celebration, when Swanny celebrates, fist pumping the left arm, jumping onto big Dawes,you know something important and significant is going on. And it was..

Come to mention it, Swanny's 3 rd quarter was a highlight for me, tackling, clearances, goal, his chip to Trav...what a 30 minutes..

Yep, with about 5-10 mins to go, pretty much the entire of us in M33 were standing/bouncing on our chairs. Maxy and then Johnno were back in the defensive goal square... both turned around and gave cheeky smiles to the crowd.

That last 10 minutes up to the siren will be eternally unforgettable.

At the game - Harrys goal celebration just said it all for me.

And starting up "We are the Premiers" chants will stay in my memory... for ever.

In watching the replay the smashing Luke Ball took from his ex pats and never battered an eyelid... copped a few across the chops - and just kept going... you know and won a premiership!

As a non supporter of either team, but an afl fan this GF i enjoyed
Shaws smother on rewoldt in the opening minutes to save the sure goal and yes Didaks dance lol!

Mine was Swanny's goal. Was nothing particularly spectacular about, just because I knew then the cup was ours.

Loved hearing the 'Tooooooooooooooooooooove' from the crowd when 34 was about to be called up to the podium for his medal.
