It happens to all of us at some time or another - its all about how you deal with it.

I recently had a pretty rough breakup with my gf of 2 years - but instead of moping around - i decided (and luckily i had good friends around to help me keep my chin up) to take the proactive approach. Ive started to go to the gym more often, and when i go out - im not the shy guy who wont approach a girl anymore - i just get up on the dancefloor and make an idiot of myself...i find that girls tend to like guys who arent afraid of making a fool of themselves.

Actually with my first ever gf I was whipped, she controlled me and almost broke my friendship with a few mates because of her little schemes.

Now after many a gf I have realised that mates are too important to lose over one chick. I'm in charge of the relationship and she does what I say .

i agree with the mates before dates sentiment on here. Relationships can be fleeting at the best of times.

In my case - the girl i like is "seeing" one of my old dorm mates from last year. So, i was over at her place with my mate last night, and she had a few mates over. Long story short, when we eventually hit the pub - i picked up with her best mate....im pretty chuffed, she's better, in my opinion, than the girl i initially wanted to be with...lol.
