Did anyone have issues with downloading the first update (1.01)? For some reason every time I try to download, it will only get to 10% and then just say there was an error. Could anyone shed some light on this?

Loving the game as well, its much more of a challenge and seems a lot more realistic in the way that they turn on the ball and how you can jostle when your dribbling and going up for a header. Just dont understand how you can give away such easy free kicks, yet you would get belted and would not hear the whistle once....

Like everyone has been saying, you do really need to work for goals. feels very rewarding though as ive only really been scoring 1 or 2 goals a game.

and another realistic part of the game:

Tottenham dominate open play and control possesion all game, weaker team scores on the counter (but mostly ive managed to get 1 goal and win 1-0)

Anyone else had trouble with penalties in online games? Just played an entertaining and open 1-1 draw vs Chelsea, which went to extra time and penalties. I won the penalties 1-0 . Had to virtually hit the x button at the very end of the spectrum to get it to land in the middle. Finally got my act together on kick 4, but with kick 5 (Gerrard), concentrated too hard on that aspect and forgot to aim with the left stick, so my dead centre green shot went...well...dead centre, into Petr Cech's arms . The other dude obviously failed to grasp the lag missing all shots, looking very John Terryesque along the way. Should also note the rest of the game was completely lag free.

Does anyone actually use them selves for the player manager career?? I play as Newcastle and I put my self in the reserves, I reckon it's rubbish you need to create a player.

Started my season with a 0-0 draw at home against Wigan, Ben Arfa almost scored a crazy free kick, bounced of the too bar behind the keepers head and out again. I have found when playing the weaker teams at home they sit back and want to counter instead of playing to win. Very realistic.

I've bumped the difficulty from Professional up to World Class and find it gives me a much superior match experience.

For those that play on World Class, what do you think of the game speed? At first thought, it seems a little fast, but would like to hear your thoughts.

Yep world class is the way to go.
At least this year the ladder in career mode is realistic. All the big teams are near the top of the table, unlike last year when Man utd would be floating in the bottom half of the table all year.
Meireles for Liverpool is an absolute gun, taken over as the midfield general in my team. Id also suggest investing in Michel Bastos, definitely the best Utility in the game

Just had the worst (best) glitch I have ever seen, in the last minute of extra time as im running towards goal, the game suddenly stops for a substitution??

However when the play resumes i cant see my player with the ball, but can see Almunia in the centre circle running back towards his own goal

So I hit B score and going to win the game the other guy pulls his plug

WTF now its recorded it as a loss for me

I'm using myself in my Player Manager career. If you didn't want to control your player then why didn't you just choose to be the manager?

lol. was playing a game as tottenham and somehow crouch got it running down the wing.

Crossed it in to defoe who beat 3 defenders to header it through.

nearly 7 foot guy crossing to someone who's barely over 5 foot =P

Had a great game before. Down 2-0 against Bristol City I believe it was, with 15 minutes left I got a goal to lift the spirits and scored the equaliser with two minutes left on the clock. I'm still undefeated in the league, only lost a cup match.

Travelling well in my career mode, as head of Blackburn Rovers on Word Class for the 1st season. 6 Wins, 1 Draw, 1 Loss. Much tougher to draw a result against the classier sides. They are more clinical with holding possession, (that's the personality aspect of the game) and more clinical in-front of goal and taking their opportunities. Only bad loss was a 0-3 drubbing from the Spurs who punished the youngsters I played.

I suspect it would be a good game to bring up say, MK Dons to the Barclays Premier League. Enjoyable.

In Career mode when i look at the team stats, what does AVE mean? Is it something to do with averages? Its in a weird format though as it is out of 100 i assume.
