No I did not know that.

So you are telling me you can just flick the right analog in the direction of the player you want to change to?

What is L1 supposed to do then?
 
OK so I am player manager with my virtual pro playing. Been getting the accomplishments as they have been reached but....I just scored my first free kick in a league game and it hasn't come up as being completed? It didn't take a deflection but the goalkeeper got a hand to it but it still went in/was going in anyway.
 
AI in BAP is ****ing woeful. Even on Legendary.

Accrington now as player manager. Yeah the free kick didn't get registered....everything else is fine. Didn't even score with the 3 games at Arsenal :(

Rested my virtual pro....we are missing him bad, players are getting quickly fatigued. Just had a chance in the 77th minute to get in the lead, drew the keeper out, passed it off, slight angle....misses by about 30cm, very pathetic i know its league two but come on, he chose to go on his inside left instead of outside of the right, i think its the timing of the shot...still ******ed though

got another chance to do a similar thing....didn't miss, 90th minute winner :D

Yep, been able to do it for years. I think L1 is to switch to the player closest to the ball. I use the analog stick because I just get the computer to pressure the player with the ball by holding circle and using my player selected to cut of the pass.

Not many people realise when defending:

Holding down X= your player runs directly to the player with the ball
Holding down O= Calls another player(computer) to run directly at the ball
Holding down X+O = Two players going directly for the player with the ball
Holding L2= easier to tackle especially with one on ones
Use the computer to pressure players= easier to stop certain passes e.g when the opposition is about to cross the ball in, get the computer to pressure the player with the ball and use the player you control to mark players in the box.
 
anyone else had problem with freezing game half way through the game online? where it just completely freezes? and osmeone has to leave to finish it.

Lol. just playing as man U against arsenal and the guy slide tackled me and it went out for a corner. injuring berbatov. swapped him for valencia. bam scores on the corner.

Then i scored again and he rage quit. as it was already 80 minutes in and he was down 2 goals
 
Cheers dubs. I learnt the O bit in defending after getting dominated online in the World Cup game and it has improved my defence a lot. Trying the manual player changing now, will take a bit of getting used to but it should be better.

Bellamy is a huge bonus to have in the Championship, he is gunning it while Chopra is struggling to even have a decent shot.
 
Stamina is lost ridiculously quickly in Virtual Pro mode...so frustrating.

Playing on legendary with legendary board settings with a 1 and half star team. F**** hard.

Had a crazy moment this afternoon. Scored the goal after my opponent tried to clear it and it bounced off my player into the goals (sooo lucky), and as I wasn't controlling the celebration because I didn't score the goal, he ran to the corner post and three of our players celebrated for about two minutes until the game started again. :o

I think it's average player rating. Not sure why it's out of 100 though.
 
Anybody getting a 1-2 second stutter during gameplay? It happens offline during exhibition/career mode as well. Checked the Bluray disc and its mint, thinking there is a big with the game or something.
 
Anyone else having problems connecting to pro ranked matches. Seems everytime i can get a game its only with 3 maybe 4 other people. Haven't been able to get a game with bigger sides

Playing my career on Legendary and I'm finally starting to score a bit, I've had some epic battles. Beat Spurs 2-0 after they really did dominate possesions, I got them on the counter and Ben Arfa got a double, this dude is lethal. Next game lost to Aresnal 4-3 after leading 1-0 at HT thank to a wonder strike from Ben Arfa again, there was 4 goals scored in the last 10 mins, Xisco got a double for me but Cesc Fabregas scored an unbelievable goal from about 20 yards, he is the best player on the game I've come up against.

Are you boys using your feet to get out of trouble? It's hard! I want some of my boys to get omaroubd defenders like Modric and Fab and Lennon types, it's hard.

yeh most people with slim ps3's are getting that problem, the same as in fifa 10
 
I'm starting to not understand the refereeing in this game. You hardly touch someone and it's a foul but you get clipped from behind or anything that looks like a foul and it's play on. Seriously frustrating.

Each ref in the game has his own personality and like real life some decisions will begger belief! Just like the real world.
 
The refereeing is majorly favouring the computer though, needs to be fixed quickly.

I think what they have tried to do is give a mixture of lenient and strict refs amd they have also tryed to put in random 'human errors' to make it more 'realistic'.
I have coped a red coz an attacker ran into a guy that was still on he ground from i slide takle I laid 2 sec prior, another time I played a thru ball and was ofside by 2 feet and was allowed to go through and score and another time I was tackle from the side in the box and cleaned up and play went on too.

TBH i think it is a bad game, I think FIFA 10 is better, the majority of my friends have problems with it.
