So. i just got the game today. played for about an hour or 2.

Really struggling compared to fifa 10. i haven't won a game on legendary yet (was easily winning nearly every game on legendary on fifa 10)

What's a good strategy to win games in fifa 11? i have a feeling i'm just trying to play how fifa 10 let you play to win.

In my first couple of games, I spent most of my time just running like FIFA '10. After a while, I decided to slow things down and build from the back, realising that the game has been developed to be more realisitic in terms of going forward. Smartness is what you need - develop an opening, change formations, develop tactics etc.

Yes I turned it on for a few games, had a few handballs around the park which didn't matter too much. Then had a handball penalty with about 2 minutes to go in a match and turned it off. **** that shit indeed.

Started a co-op career with Adelaide United and my god Leckie is fast! Glad they got that right.

As a side note, I'm loving that I haven't had any thumping wins yet. My best has been 3-0 against a weaker side. Against the better sides in the league I've generally had draws. So much fun.

THere's nothing to do? where's the scouting and the upgrades to the staff. and all that crap? i'm doing player manager is that why it's not htere or did EA **** up and get rid of it alll?

Good game although i'm not so sure on why they got rid of the scouting and the background upgrades in manager mode.
Also as a stats man they got rid of all the individual stats accumulated in the season ie. average yards tackles won/lost...unless i'm missing something?

Gameplay is fantastic although i am experiencing some freezing when a goal is scored. (it will freeze for 4 seconds then contiune on, has anyone else had this problem?).

And as im at work atm, i had a look at gamefaqs and found this link to download chants. Anyone willing to give it a go and give some feedback? I'll give it a go when i get home tonight.

I d/l a shit load from there the other day and have put it on. its takes a while being on the 360 but its pretty awesome! you really have to get a good quality chant though (i.e not a chant thats been taken with a phone at a pub or somethign). IMO if you love your chants and songs you will love this feature like i have

I started manger mode last night and its pretty good. but liverpool were 2 wins from 3 games (lost to me!)... no realism at all!

Oh and im finding the handball happenining far to often in the penaly box. theres been a penatly for handball in all my games. my 1st to games of the season both finished 1-0 win but the only goals were pens from handball.

Go to the lobbies and go to My Country, has all aussies in there and the games ive played have had 3 green bars so no lag.

Loving the chants now. Scored a goal that lead to "aaaaarseenallll" chants. During the game right now they're singing "1-0 to the arsenal, 1-0 to the arsenal!"
Excellent stuff.
I want to get the "OH! DYNAMITE! ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE!" commentating when Fab scored against Tottenham a while back.

Oh, and even though I hate it now, just for effect I got the Kasabian fire song (which only plays that annoying part on gameday at half time).


By the way. I never get ****ing free kicks. Had like 6 injuries as well, terrible challenges. 5 games in and no free kicks. STOP INJURING KEY PLAYERS AS WELL!

I'm worried now. Winning 0-1 against sunderland....missed a penalty...someone off....90th minute goal anyone?
Oh I have Pepe Reina in goals, maybe not.

Funny ending. They did nothing all game, they whip in a cross, we just header it to nowhere, clichy clears it and hits a sunderland player and the follow up sunderland player gets it, but Verm tackled him and got it outta there.

Is there a way to play a custom song when a goal is scored? I wanna use the Samba De Janeiro song (song plays in euro 08 when a goal is scored as well as the champions league final). If im correct they also used 7 nation army - white stripes song for the entrance of both teams?
