ok so we have waited for fifa 12 and we all know its broken gameplay but manager mode looks promising now

so have our say what you would like to be updated on it.

here is my list

1. staff upgraged has been taken out they should bring it back in but better layout.

like when ur rep goes up u can buy staff ie better scouts each with there own atributes.

2. player growth we need it revamped ie weekly updates on ur young players if u play them.

3.have a reserve league so when u go in to squads u can look at reserve team an ur staff will say who is an is not playing good .

Growth is good this year. But Having Staff Upgrades is a good idea.

Question: If i put a scouted player in my youth squad will they continue to be scouted?

Yes they will.

After you have signed a scouted player to your youth squad, they will be scouted further (monthly) to give you a better indication on where they're at with their attributes and overall/potential.

You can then offer them an official contract if you wish, or let them go.

For those of you who have played at least one full season and have noticed player growth...

Did you receive any messages stating your player/s had improved? Or did you just notice their overall had increased?

:confused::confused: WTF are you talking about???
Yeah, I stopped right there. Didn't bother reading on. :o

Same old story of someone being shit at the game and putting the blame on the game.

Don't get the point of thread. It's not exactly one of those topics where there's plenty to talk about, mostly because others aren't that interested in everyone's individual career mode, whereas with UT, it's interactive for others on the forum.

Merge?

What are you talking about?

And how many FIFA threads do we need? Soon there's going to be one for every game mode.
FIFA 12 VP thread anyone?

It is becoming a bit of a FIFA board, which isn't right. UT has some merit since it's so different to anything else, but not really for manager mode.

Yep, while I disliked the way the new defensive system was implemented, once I changed the controls slightly it became absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change much at all.

I've just been playing friendlies so far. Using World Class difficulty so I'm struggling a fair bit but I'd like to get better as the season progresses. Any tips for team selection? I'm thinking of a second tier English team, possibly Leeds. Last year I did one with Bradford in the lowest div but I don't think I'd have the patience to take them all the way up to the Premier League.

Yep. Just finished season 1. Martin Kelly starts at 76 i think and at seasons end he was on 78 and worth $40,000,000 to Sunderland. There is growth. Few of my promoted acadamy players went up a couple of points and Suarez went up 3.

sorry guys for the first thing i just copied and pasted someone elses post and put it in here

That's worse that just posting your own list.

Why in the hell would you copy someone else's work and try take credit for it, even if it's something as small as what is in the OP?

Or are you just trying to cover your arse?

with team selections do you mean trades?

if so, try:
* Chris Herd from Villa, he is a aussie RB/Mid who is lvl 64 and has alright growth. I used him in the A-league and was impressed, then tried him in the EPL and he was a great cheap depth player...he will be a great addition to any lower league team.
* Manoel is a great cheap option for a CB...probably one of the fastest CB's in the game so great for shuting down teams that use speedy players in through balls/counter acts. 21 yrs old and starts at lvl 71
* Jack Robinson is a LB from liverpool who is just 18 and comes dirt cheap in under 2 million. His stats won't impress you that much but he grows super fast and I am alreadt playing him regularly late in my 1st liverpool season. You can thank me later for this tip ;)

also, spend some cash on a good scout...at least a 3 star scout. I am finding players that have trade values up to 8 million once they turn 16 and are signed ;)

I take a GWS approach towards manager mode: buying many, many old hacks and gutting the midsection out of my team in favour of pure youth. As Notts County (3rd div english) this strategy has worked quite well. Buying ~70 CB's/CDM's for zero transfer fee and re-allocating the budget to suit works quite well.

I replaced Salgado years back when I started my MM game with Nathaniel Clyne from Crystal Palace for memory.

He was rated around 72 overall, and his player growth has been huge. Three years on and he's 80.

Hey...... Notts is my team:p

I spent the 1st season with Liverpool using CB's rated 71 and thus had trouble leaking goals...2nd season I spend big getting Pique and Hummels and what a difference. I also got Kelly back from loan who is a big RB, and now have a real strong backline that really man handles the opposition.

Interesting was when Man City tried to trade for Gerard (value approx 30 mill) they push hard and ended up offering 50 million...I couldnt refuse the offer as I needed to start finding cash for the future Midfield replacement...but gerard won't leave

has anyone use Neymar? If so how does he handle high gametime? I looked at getting him but was a little turned off with his low stamina at 47! I didnt want to spend towards 100 million only to see him playing off the bench.

I have since spent money upgrading my defense with Pique and Hummels, which seems better value for money. But I will always keep my Neymar options open

Do players still develop during the season even if i don't play them
