Unless I'm going crazy I hear them say they've changed or improved first touch and AI every year. Most of the time there's no difference.

While you're kinda right, it does seem like they have made a proper effort this time, rather than it being a throwaway line, because FIFA AI has been horrible for years now. I want to believe that this year is the year!
 
they added all their new stuff in fifa 12. 13 is just refining it. the collision detection system, ultimate team, h2h, ranked matches, virtual pros, one touch, intelligent ai (will believe it when i see it) are all being improved. would rather see them tweak and refine a few imperfections each season then bring in radical changes year after year for changes sake.

I'm not after radical changes but at least give those who want freshness each year a bloody good reason to buy the game. For example make some changes to Manager mode. I don't know if many others are of the same opinion but I think it's one of the most boring managerial modes out of every sports game.

and they have made changes to manager mode, like they do every year. they have to make the delicate balance of being a simulation, but not becoming football manager, because many fifa players don't want that. there is freshness each and every year, fifa is one of the best games when it comes to freshness. new leagues, new teams, new gameplay, new graphics, so many things. 12 was their big hurrah when it came to features and improvements, now there's just small tinkering (international teams in career mode is a pretty awesome new feature). they'll improve upon the mistakes of last years game, the footage of 13 looks absolutely grand. can't wait to get into it, like i do each and every year, because i know it'll be different from the game before.

I'd consider myself fairly good online in FIFA, but can barely even win on professional mode. Get smashed. In FIFA '07 I used to dominate on Legendary. Is anyone else really really bad against the AI but good against humans?

Yeah I really struggle to break down the AI's defence a lot of the time but often find a way through when playing against a mate or online.

I play on professional and quite comfortably beat a couple of mates who play on World Class, yet I can't score on world class, nearly always ends up 0-0.
 
I've pre-ordered from JB & bought a Season Pass, will I be able to start a career on the season pass and continue that career when I get the hard copy from JB?

And will I get both UT pack bonuses?

Id go season pass + on release buy from US PSN store for $60. You wont need to download again just get the activation download which is tiny. The money you save can then be used for UT packs and you still get the season pass packs.

If you go the JB route yeah you get 2 sets of packs, and your season will transfer over.
