Wow. Just wow. THis game feels amazing. Played on world class and it really feels like a match day. I started Arsenal v City and I felt it was an actual EPL game. The defending - especially last ditch - was fricking amazing. Scored first game. Podolski sprinted down the left wing from left back, shimmied the defender, cut a cross back for Wilshere to head home. FELT INCREDIBLE!

Played Juve v Milan and Muntari scored a scorcher from 35 yards out. Was impeccable. The passing is just great. Pirlo hit a scrumptious long ball for Matri who's shot was well saved but i was too busy admiring Pirlo's pass.

The first touch is also a great addition. The computer made mistakes as well which I have never seen them do.

CANNOT WAIT FOR THE END OF THE MONTH!

3% through, will get to play it at 4:30. **** school. >.<
This is the only advantage I can think of for jetlag. I went to sleep at 1, woke up at 3 and have been up ever since.

I'm about 30% through, will be done in 40 or so minutes.

Didn't sleep too well last night cos we have visitors over from Perth and could hear them through the wall in the lounge room, however keen to get home this arvo.

I'm going to be tired as shit. Will play a bit and hopefully get some sleep.

You won't have time to play before school?

After four 0-0 draws and a 0-1 defeat last night, I finally won a game 1-0 (on world class) this morning! WOO!

I have to get used to the tele/broadcast camera angle (played most of fifa12 from the pro camera which gives me a better sense of distance between players)

I like the mini games while it loads (although for PC there is basically no load time anyway)

sorry guys, stupid question here, is the matchday stuff free (player ratings etc) or do we have to pay for it like previous years

It's amazing how things that EA Sports put in FIFA 2 years ago are now starting to see the true fulfillment of their powers. It just goes to show that they really do have a 2 year cycle on these games despite them being annual releases.

Things like the set piece creator, the new passing system, the impact engine, all things implemented more than a year ago and just being refined in all the right areas now.

So yeah, really enjoying the demo this time around. Last year was a big disappointment on the demo front, while this year it all feels so slick, clean and basically complete.

Coming off a rebound from defence feels so dangerous that if you really nail the right passes you can have a goal in a matter of seconds.

I'm still working on my defence as this will be the first year I've gone full hog into the tactical defending (I didn't go for 'Legacy' with 12, I just changed the controls to not utilise contain as much as I didn't really like it all that much - still kind of don't tbh).

I'm not so much in the know of how the respective players feel as to how they 'should' since I don't follow international soccer, but you can definitely see the class and quality when you give the ball to them.

Really enjoy the skill games in the load screen, even though the load takes about 3 seconds I still try and complete the skill game. Makes for a much better experience than just one on one against the GK forever and ever.

Really worth a download just to see how everything works. It's only 1.4GB.
How do we utilise the first touch properly?
Nail your passes. Watch the power bar in your players name box and watch the little white notch that pops up every time you pass. That's indicating the desired strength for a perfect pass to that player, if you train yourself enough on it, you should be able to nail your pass power a lot better and thus the player will receive the ball better too.

Also shorter passes>longer passes. Unless you need to, try and short pass more as the player will receive it better than a longer pass that will have more chance of bobbling. Same goes for lobbed and lifted passes too.

Still not out on ps3.... dafuk
Get a US PSN Account and download it from the US Store there.

All you need to do to get it to work is to make sure you put the US as your home country, everything else can be false info (doesn't even need to be comprehensible).

Okay, I did get the demo and tried it out. Love the new menus. Visuals seems slightly improved. Gameplay itself feels pretty similar with a few nice tweaks. Not massively different and don't think anyone who played FIFA 12 will struggle to adapt. I'm not one to massively hold sprint all the time so first touch doesn't hurt me. Movement of players seems much improved, especially how they cut and make runs. Keepers have definitely improved but are not overpowered. I'm not across the whole dribbling changes yet. Haven't worked that out. Although I'm a dud when it comes to 1v1 situation and tricks.

Only negative so far is the commentary. I've barely heard a new phrase uttered (all copied from FIFA 12) other than the realtime updates they give here and there in what would be 6 or 7 games so far. They also still say stupid stuff that is totally wrong at times.

Ah, haven't even noticed that. Mind you I was playing it on two hours sleep, will try and pay some more attention to that now.

My passing was pretty horrid a lot of the time in terms of a percentage.

First match was a 2-1 win, lost 1-0 after that, had a 0-0, lost again, won a few and lost again.

Probably had my most enjoyable match with Dortmund.
