PES is rubbish

These are the main points I've noticed that need fixing in the past 10 matches I've played:

- Goalkeepers being allowed to run into and knock over an attacker so they can't dribble around them
- Clean sliding tackles resulting in fouls possibly w/ red card/yellow/card/penalty
- Accurate player stats. Some players are too overpowered or underpowered.
- CPU making it obvious that they know what you're going to do as soon as you press the button
- Goalkeepers ******ed. eg: easy catch with nobody around and they tap it over the bar. eg2: ball rolling past at snail speed and they fall over to save it but miss the ball by about a metre
- defenders making weird squiggling runs and randonly running to weird positions to make it easier for attackers

That has got to be the most infurirating IMO. The amount of times I win a ball and the ball only goes in a certain direction cos I have made contact with it, and then I get a red card makes me go crazy. ****ing pisses me off something shocking.

Also, just being unable to win any aerial ball vs the keeper is bullshit.

AND THE BALL HITTING THE ****ING REF.

The main thing that needs to be fixed is the AI scripting IMO.

also forgot to mention passes going in the wrong direction by a significant amount

to benefit the cpu the ball will magically just go to the opposition's feet, it doesn't even count as an interception.

Something simple that I was thinking about once again last night, and mainly refers to FUT, but either let us have a third kit, or let us see the shorts that go with the kit. Eg, Newcastle has black and white stripes with black shorts, Juventus has black and white stripes with white shorts. These are knownteams...I don't know what some middle eastern team wears and once the game starts it's too late, you just get stuck with colour clashes...

i am expecting the level of improvement that was seen with fifa 08 on ps3 (from fifa 07 on ps2). there's gameplay on youtube of fifa 14 and it looks exactly like 13 on ps3, hoping that it's footage of fifa 14 on the ps3, not the ps4

Should be able to alternate shorts anyway. As in Home shirt, away shorts if shorts clash etc.

I really hope they make the AI better in this, its ridiculous how dumb it is in previous FIFAs: defenders tripping over each other, ref blocking my players and passes, defenders running off their man & leaving them free etc

The lag in menus is one of the most frustrating things for me. Try navigating your shortlist on career mode. Press down once, goes down 2 players! Shocking

The menus in general. Far too much shit going on. That's what was great about PES. Simple menus, you pressed start and you could fly through the options. Doesn't happen in FIFA.

I am incredibly critical of FIFA, but that hasn't stopped me buying it day one for the last six years. Now, if the next gen wasn't beginning this year, I would probably see that run come to an end, because the PS3/360 version of FIFA14 looks incredibly average, and I reckon the series has plateaued significantly over the past couple of years as they've reached the limit of what they can do on this hardware. But FIFA14 will definitely be coming home with me the day I pick up my PS4, and may well be the first game that gets a run in it.

The foundations are there for next gen FIFA to be truly fantastic, provided that they focus on the right things. The focus on locomotion, AI and the 'living world' concept all sound like great steps in the right direction, and I really am excited to see and hear how it is looking. As someone else mentioned, the jump from FIFA07 to next gen FIFA08 was massive, and I'd expect this to be even bigger.

For me the new defending system in FIFA 12. Stopped from holding O + X (ps3) and made you actually think about what you're doing.

IMO Vidal should, I reckon about 87 or 88 rated. Beast. Obviously Bale too.
