I can never get into FUT because of the contract and fitness micromanaging

Is there a way to get around it earlye so I don't have to keep worrying?

Holy moly! have you already played a full season? Im still scraping by the early stages in the Championship. Lifted a difficulty this year and struggling.

Won my pre season comp matches against some crappy Euro teams 1-0 each game. Spent the 2 mill on Alex Gerbash and Robbie Kruse (don't knock me, he's a decent LM for a championship side haha).

Season proper begins with a 1-1 draw against Wigan (away). Then drew 0-0 with Hull (home), beat Rochdale 1-0 in EFL Cup, lost 2-0 away to Brentford, lost 1-0 against Milwall at home, went down 4-0 to Ipswich at home and then beat Manchester United 0-0 (won on penalties after a cheeky Pogba chip went over the bar). Sitting second bottom on 2 points and probably going to lose my job Enjoying it though! haha

Also, has anyone noticed, with the badges on the shirt, that new signings will sometimes just have a "green screen" instead of the patch on their right arm? Left arm is fine but both Gerbash and Kruse have a lime green badge on their other arm

Nah, but I am in December of season one. I looked that information up

I am equal top with Chelsea on 43 points after 17 games or something. Laca and Auba are dominating. Scored a late winner against United which was delicious.

You can get squad fitness cards.

If you are willing to open packs, you get at least a few contracts in every gold pack so that can cover you for a while.

It used to be much worse when you had to buy contracts, now you get different untradeable packs and what not so I never buy contracts.

They can’t use any skybet branding on the patches so they are left blank. The yellow one is strange though because that is where the uk equivalent of ‘gamble responsibly’ goes.

Googled it, yep, people have had the exact same problem, freezing straight after deadline day. Can't fix it, and I haven't saved it for a bit. **** you EA, something so ****ing basic and you still go and **** up. A big ****ing **** you to the pricks.

Game has its flaws like most games, but I do enjoy it. Except for when ****ing Brighton ping it around like ****ing Man City. I restarted against them six times because I got so angry. They scored twice against me in the first two minutes without me touching the ball, and another in the first few minutes. In one game their LB completed 26 passes. I got so mad. I finally beat them 3-1.

Passing can a bit blah at times, but I think if I adjust the sliders it should be alright.

I am three points clear after 21 games with Chelsea in second. PEA and Laca are dominating. Both are first and second in the scoring charts, with Kane closely behind. With the flawed FIFA transfer market I have managed to bring in DDG, Martial and Godin in on frees . Godin is old, but I need defensive stability. I was tempted to bring in Vertonghen too who is also available on a free, but I don't think it's really necessary.

Managed to get Calabria for 9.9m + Lichsteiner (who was on 80k and contract was about to expire so that was a huge win). DDG coming in is going to be enormous as Leno is absolutely ****ing rubbish. He'll be sold, as will Koscielny who is old and slow. Looking at shipping Ozil and Mhki too due to wages and age, but I'll have to wait and see with who is available.

I think it’s largely down to the consoles.

I bought a Xbox a few months ago and was really disappointed playing FIFA 18 career with the slow menus, it’s as if the systems aren’t capable of any better. The loading is relentless.

Have a nice ol' glitch in Pro Clubs where your stats don't save after a league match (wins/losses, goals, assists, attribute upgrades, etc), meaning it was basically a meaningless game.

Cool EA. Spend their year making bare minimum changes to the game and still ship it with bugs.

What difficulty are you on? I'm on WC, some bullshit goals, but it is satisfying when you win.

Fulham were 2-0 up against me until I equalised in stoppage time. I lost 2-0 to Liverpool who dominated me.

Leno is absolutely a liability. I will sell him at the end of the season. He is junk, cops so many easy goals. Cenk Tosun scored a header from the ******* edge of the box and he ******* missed it. Useless prick.

I've not thought much about the passing from the AI, haven't noticed anything that has made me rage. I win headers in game a lot of the time, might be your defenders, scored a few from headers too. Agree about fouls, yellow cards too are still a bit err.

Definitely spend time with the tactics and mentalities. I found my defensive line was far too high (Watford for example were exposing me big time), so next game I made them sit deeper. I concede a lot of goals, but I reckon a lot of it is down to Leno who is a donut.

Ozil has done pretty well for me, scored two in my Chelsea game and has 6 assists in 10 games or something.

How much for Asensio and Koulibaly? They wanted 78m for Asensio I think. Cutrone is very good, gets a lot of assists for me. Seems you've kept a lot of the squad compared to me


Since here I have also signed Romangoli and Tousart. Managed to get 22.5m for Ramsey too.

I'm a really casual fan, so I usually start off on Professional and go to World Class the next season (although it can get a bit easy on Pro once you've learned how to play). I fiddle around with the sliders though if I turn it up, mainly to do with shooting/finishing.
Leno stops a lot of shots for me but pretty much knocks them straight to the opposition.
His rating is way too high but I'll see who's available as I'd like to trash him off.
Few things seem alright now but I still feel the passing/shooting is a bit off.
Might turn that timed finishing off for now until I can get bothered trying to learn it.
I think the passing for me is a bit strange as its probably stuck on assisted, so it doesn't matter how long I hold it for, the AI
will probably just go the closest option.

Paid low 60s for Asensio and Koulibaly.
Asensio has been a bit average and probably won't suit the way I play, but Koulibaly is a beast.
Lozano has been alright and I'm really enjoying Torreira, scored some belters actually.
I sold Ozil and signed Eriksen, who's been pretty good.

What month are you in? If you are in Jan, snap up DDG and Martia ASAPl! I signed them two and Godin as I noted on frees. DDG on 270k a week, Godin 160k, Martial 99k - Godin on a 3 year deal, other two on 5 year. Godin is kinda a stop gap, but given that he is 90, and his defensive stats are elite, he was too hard to pass up.

Think I will turf Ozil too. Though he has 6 goals in the league and maybe the same amount of assists. How much did you sell him for? And as if you could snag Eriksen! For how much? So jealous about Kouliably!

Torreira is more a rotation/sub for me as I play Aouar and Doucore first choice, but he is more than decent second choice (along with Tousart and De Jong)

After a week and many attempts I finally nailed a goal from a corner kick.... I managed to do it three times in the same game. I put it down to the opposition AI I was facing (Turkey) - as I hadn't really changed my approach despite all the previous failed attempts over the past week. First success was a fluke backward airball kick, second was a well timed header, third was the basic kicked ball on the full.

Also can't seem to win in online seasons..... yet I won my first proper FUT online match last night ... 3 - 0.

There are bad glitches on this. Don't do the automatically assigned subs, in the menus, because if you sell one of those players your team is completely broken and you can't change anything to do with your lineup.

Luckily that was early on for me. Enjoying it now. I always like how FIFA gets you a bunch of new players you didn't especially think of getting and makes you like guys you wanted to turf. I hate having big lists too, generally 18-20 guys, but this year I'm almost locking in the same starting line-up. I like two wingers and I've been a terrible shot on goal since about 16, so like two strikers as well. Playing either a 4-4-2, 4-2-4, 3-2-3-2. Calvert-Lewin from Everton is in and he's usually with Danny Welbeck. Training Fabregas as a striker too. Using Phil Foden (of course) with Tom Cairney as the weight's in the middle. Sessegnon and Leckie on either wing, usually right and left so they can swing in. I like how they both play like they do irl, too.

Good thing about this was I swapped a heap of guys out to bring those in and just paid the difference. Only the budget got a nudge.

The game itself is haaaard though. I drew basically every game 0-0 or at most 1-1 for ages and was bottom five or two for a while but now I'm up to 13th and snagging some wins. Funny though, Matthew Leckie has scored at Man City (the second he got off the bench on debut), home to someone else, and at Chelsea and we were equalised against straight after. Scrambled a 2-1 win against Chelsea which felt good.

Definitely do it, DDG is a MASSIVE upgrade on Leno. Martial is kinda a no brainer too, especially on those wages. And his potential is 89. Who are your CBs again? How are you finding Tierney? He gets exposed a lot, but I have faith he's going to come good.

Sold Varane and Jordi Alba. About 250k in.

Two new teams and spent all of it. Ditched bundesliga and made a new Calcio team. Managed to find a bit of value in there, which meant I could spend big on a few players.

Absolute pot luck but did the Moura SBC and pulled Fabinho with the pack at the end. So 40k spent, 86 Moura and 85 Fabinho. Stoked.

Got chem cards on everyone now, so each player is probably +3 to +5 overall depending on where they are playing. If you haven't got chem cards on your players, it's an absolute must. You can have 79 overall players running around like they are 84 overall players if you do the right ones. And most are super cheap. I've found purchasing players already with the chem card you wanted on them saves a lot of cash too.
