So after packing prime Raul last night I did the TOTW 81+ SBC and packed this...

Are you a new player? What is that pack luck? I had some crazy pulls last year but have never packed Ronaldo or Messi let alone one of their informs!

This is my second year doing FUT, and the first where I’ve put proper time and effort into doing SBCs and WL and stuff.

Apart from Raul yesterday and now this I haven’t had terrific pack luck, my best pull prior to this was probably Busquets.

I got his base card untradeable in a player pick a couple weeks ago and had the same thought of "bringing him off the bench".

Played 2 matches with him and ended up doing a full turnover of my team to fit him in it.

Even if you can only get him to 7 or 8 chem, do as much as possible to start him.
He's base is amazing so I can't imagine how good his 2IF would be.

Yep, I’ve decided to sacrifice Torres to get Ronaldo up to chem. I can get the Guedes objectives and then I’ll buy Headliners Felix. If only the POTM Felix SBC was still around, would be significantly cheaper but alas.

Good move. That Ronaldo is one of the best cards in the game, very lucky. Almost 3.3mil on the market.

Make him your focal point and run 66% of your attack through him.
 
Alright after those two days of pack heaven here's my squad:

So first day I packed Prime Raul, sold him and bought Mid Torres and Alex Moreno. Then I packed SIF Ronaldo and made the decision to sell Torres so I could buy Headliners Felix for the chem. Also used the leftovers to buy Portu and then did the Guedes objectives to give Ronaldo some decent chem. Keen to see how this goes, and if I can get out of Div 5 on the back of one of the best cards in the game.

You could get Ronaldo on full chem starting 4-5-1 and switching in game. Ronaldo up top with Felix and guedes at cams. Oryazabal and portu at LM/RM and the others as normal.

How did you go? I started the year getting gold 1 and now it's just easier stopping at like 14-5 and saving me the hassle. I'll have enough reds to do the 86+ champs pick on Thursday. Cant wait to get 3 86 goalkeepers haha

Casemiro is an interesting player.

Kucka has slightly more overall stats and is significantly cheaper. Casemiro better at defending and I use Kucka as more of a general mid than one who shields the defense per se, but I think for anyone looking at a Serie A team that likes Casemiro should consider this guy along with Milinkovic-Savic.
 
This game has really gone downhill over the years. I only play online and career mode, just can't get into FUT. I'd normally do a career mode with Liverpool and then pick a few tier 2 teams and work them up to be champions but I just can't do it this year. The gameplay, the difficulty it's just a horrible game.
 
Glad they finally adjusted the price for the UEL RTTF Kessie so i can get him into my side. With him, HL Savic and HL Henrik it's forced flashback Khedira out of the mid. Has anyone used him at CB ? Thinking about putting him there due to lack of coin and pacey serie a CB's.

I tried the 5-2-1-2 formation last weke with Khedira as the Mid CB and he was very good. Can feel a bit sluggish when chasing cause of low Accel but defensively he's great.

80+ Player Picks are probably the best value packs/picks in whole game. If you have enough players you could do a bit of everything. I'd do ~20 player picks and save any other fodder you have for the league upgrade sbcs. You'll get a bunch more fodder and maybe a big pull from the picks as well that can go towards them.

Ive got 125 player picks ready, sold a few players from my squad that will drop during TOTY, then I'll buy them back and should still have around 300k to spend on upgrade SBCs or whatever else EA release.

If I manage to pack a TOTY then the whole process will be a Win, would love to get Alphonso Davies TOTY cause I'm planning to buy him with coins anyway. At the least I'll get a huge amount of fodder to chuck into player SBCs.

Flashback SBC Kante would be sweet. Might be too inaccessible though cost wise. There's a general thought process that Thomas Muller missed nomination because he's got a TOTY Moments SBC coming.

Gold 2, I’m just not that great.
Teams a little behind the times, still rocking Vinicius jr & llorente, last dozen oppos had much better teams but that’s just me whinging.

Even getting 11 wins is enough. The 86+ pick is a little scarce now, did it early myself got 88 griez who was actually nuts.

I quite enjoy Casemiro's card actually. I've got enough central options on the bench atm (Modric, Griezmann and Silva) that I could probably put a second 'attacking' CM but Casemiro is so valuable as basically a fifth defender. Real physical presence, scored a few long range bangers and corner headers with him.
