Possible but not probable unfortunately.

Would be the biggest comeback since....................Andy Collins in the last quarter. :D

If I was walking the streets of downtown Sydney along with 375,000 other punters & a van full of crazed nymphomaniacs came past trolling the crowd for a bloke to abduct and have their frenzied way with for 24 hours, then mathematically it would be possible for them to pick me!!!!!!

I might head into the city! :eek:

-x^2 + 2(k+2)x - 9k = 0
D = 4(k+2)² - 36k = 4k² -20k +16
Then D < 0
f(k) = 4k² -20k + 16
D' = 20² - 4*4*16 = 144
k = (20 +/- 12) / 8
k = 4 or k = 1
f(k) = 4(k-4)(k-1)
f(k) < 0 for 1 < k < 4
Solution = Richmond Premiership

:D haha

I'll admit to thoughts of finals walking back to Flinders St last night but we need to be realistic, if we look to the 3rd quarter, some woeful football was played.

We have a young team, learning together, with a very un-modernrichmond-like desire to succeed. Days like yesterday are great but they aren't going to happen every week and we can't expect it too.

Of all the 4 wins this season, this was the one that truely won me over to Dimma and what he's building (Nothing against Damien personally, just a jaded Tiger I am :) ). But Rome wasn't built in a day.

is the answer 42?

I dunno, I hope I'm wrong :) They are well ahead of us though mate.

Not really. Talentwise we may be better. In Round 1 we were a fair bit behind because we had 3 or 4 brand new kids but 10 games makes a big difference. These kids have gone from being almost non competitive in Round 1 to being confident and very competitive :cool:

LOL, I've been waiting for this thread to pop up.

There is one spot in the 8 up for grabs maybe 2, if Carlton lose form.

Sydney or Adelaide will take it IMO. Kanga's aren't good enough yet and Brisbane look awful at the minute, but with Brown and Fev back soon, could make a late run.

Ive got them missing the 8!!.... we only finish 10th in mine as i have adelaide making the 8..... and i have melbourne winning the spoon!!

It's actually still possible for Richmond to finish, but it's 1 million to one.

Richmond 48 (121.9%)
Hawthorn 48 (107%)
Fremantle 48 (99.3%)
St.Kilda 48 (95.2%)
Geelong 46 (97.3%)
Adelaide 44 (100.4%)
Carlton 44 (100%)
Sydney 44 (99.9%)
-------------------------
West Coast 44 (99.3%)
Kangaroos 44 (95.5%)
Collingwood 44 (90.6%)
Melbourne 42 (99.6%)
W.Bulldogs 40 (100.4%)
Brisbane 40 (100.4%)
Essendon 40 (100.2%)
Port Adelaide 40 (95.3%)

Finals- Richmond def St.Kilda
Hawthorn def Fremantle
Geel def by Sydney
Adelaide def Carlton

St.Kilda def by Sydney
Fremantle def by Adelaide

Richmond def Adelaide
Hawthorn def by Sydney

Richmond def Sydney. (Grand Final)

BUT- IT WILL DEF. NOT HAPPEN.)

This is awesome lol

It must have taken you hours to fiddle with results to get this :D:thumbsu: most impressive,

what odds with the betting mobs, for the Tigers to top the ladder ^^

it goes without saying that if this happened we would win the premiership :D

dare to dream

No please don't start this shit NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Lets be realistic, the win was great but we are still to raw, giv it till next year atleast or even the following, just enjoy what they have already accomplished this year plus what they can do aswell!

we have hurdled one and we face the other 2 in the run home. All our games barring collingwood and saints, even though if we bring our game they arent over the line for them are very winnable, again if we continue to "improve".

Taking all that into account that would give us 10 wins. The way the teams in the mix are going, i.e. falling over at the next hurdle, it still gives us a chance to sneak in.
I am not convinced that our team is going to follow the standard formula of past young teams and lose momentum in the run home. Why? because we started slow and are now gaining momentum going into the run home. Add to that the addictive drug of winning in front of a roaring tiger army, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. All we need to do is keep this run going, just like we did in 95 when we strung if i can recall correctly 8 wins straight?
Look at the dawks, 7 weeks ago they were down where we were and about to put up the white flag and now they are?
It might sound over the top optimistic but, I for one arent scared of anyone we come up against IF THE BOYS BRING IT ON THE DAY.
Of course everyhting falls into a screaming heap if Freo do a number on us, but i can guarantee ya the bookie boys will be letting you on if you want to back Freo this week. ;)

Forgive the intrusion, but to bust this equation as D, the discriminant (b^2-4ac) is less than 0, there is NO real solution (or possibility of finals if you will).
However I'll be rooting for your mob to snag 8th place to bring some excitement to the finals. The less interstate teams, the better.
