If Freo lose both (could happen), Hawthorn only win the one game and Sydney win both (not likely) then we would get a home final against Fremantle. That would be ideal.

I see this possibility more likely:

5. Sydney: Wins against Bulldogs and Brisbane (At home against The Dogs)
6. Carlton: Loss to Geelong and win against Fremantle (I just don't think we'll have the team mix to beat Geelong this week)
7. Hawthorn: Win against Freo and loss to Collingwood (Freo should be easy, and who knows for the last match)
8. Fremantle: Losses to Hawthorn and Carlton (May just have seen their last win for the year)

If Hawthorn do beat Collingwood last match it will just reverse sixth and seventh and we still play Hawthorn, but get the draft pick prior to them. :D

Cant imagine Swans beating the bulldogs after the hiding they got. If the Bullies had of just lost or won, yes but not now.

Sydney are far from a basket case and playing their last game at home for the year, may just give them the impetus to win.
The Dogs certainly need this win if not for confidence alone, but I'll reluctantly throw my money on the Swans come the weekend.

Sydney are playing for Kirk, so that will be pump them up for last at the SCG. ..

I'll be going to the SCG to farewell two very admirable people (non-Carlton, therefore they have to do a little more in my books):
Paul Roos and Brett Kirk.

I think that will fire the swans up a bit.

The next trick is to get a final in Melbourne. BTW, we haven't won at the SCG since 1993.

Apparently if Sydney get a home final it will be at ANZ Stadium.

I wouldn't be surprised for Hawthorn to beat Collingwood in the last round

Hawthorn have some wood over Collingwood. Prior to getting smashed by the Pies earlier this year during their form slump, the Hawks consistently belted the Pies for a number of years.

I heard this too, and also heard the Sawns don't really like it there.

In any case, I think we're a good chance of playing Freo at home in the first final. I know the Swans are backing up a trip to Perth, but I reckon they'll have the Dogs' measure in Sydney.

I wouldn;t under estimate our Blues in the Finals....last years fade out would still burn in the gut of the playing and coaching group, on our day we could beat anyone, we could seriously cause some upsets :footy:

We could just send a reserve like team to Freo then return the week after with a full team and smash them to bits.
just let the wablues play
My hand is up if Ballantyne plays. Will be one smashed hobbit!
