Mod. Notice Finals tickets thread - keep it in here please

That time of the year is here again; furtively vanishing at work for twenty minutes while we log into Ticketmaster with our barcodes and endure their website to purchase tickets. All members should have received instructions from the AFL about the procedure for ticket purchases.

We will certainly endure some frustration over the coming weeks getting good seats, having the website time out, etc.

Until the end of the season, this thread can be the place to discuss all of it.

PLEASE NOTE

You may find you have tickets during the next month you cannot use.

Every year we have people looking to use BigFooty as a place to dispose of unwanted tickets. If you want to give those tickets a new home with a fellow fan, by all means let us know about it.

We ask that all sales are for face value or less only. Under anti-scalping regulations you can recover fair transaction costs up to 10% of face value. No markups, no bundling a ticket with another item (Can of Coke $250 - Includes Ticket). As a community with a common interest I hope we can deal fairly with each other.

There will be a main board equivalent thread if you wish to purchase from other supporters.

Well I'm going to be hammering the website to try and get tickets, but I also know that there are some potential unfortunate circumstances in regards to a elderly relative that could potentially stop me going. So I'll certainly keep this thread in mind if I manage to get tickets but things go sour.

It's hard enough trying to buy tickets from that mob, let alone trying to get a refund!

Historically I haven't had any issues getting finals tickets, pretty sure I used my in the wings for the Carlton game in 2011. Full members only have a 2hr head start and most probably aren't hitting refresh bang on 9am so it's not too bad, seats probably won't be great though.

I shall be rocking up to Subi oval to get mine at 8am tomorrow. Be stuffed if I'm going to try that seriously woeful ticketmaster site to try and get them. Have horrible memories last time of trying and can't imagine it's improved much.

I have one spare concession membership that won't be used to purchase tickets. If any of you are young enough to be able to use concession, or old enough to be concession yet still able to use the Ticketmaster site, I will gladly hit you up with the barcode and whatever else you need to book your own ticket tomorrow morning.

PM me, and if anybody else is eligible for a concession ticket and wants a barcode let me know. When I get home from work I'll check my PMs and send the details out. Only got one spare.

Apart from Ochre being a smartass, does anybody know what details you need to book besides membership barcode?

I wouldn't count on any tickets being left by 2 PM

*Confirmed. Just tried for Freo match. Telstra code worked, but no tickets actually available
