News First List Lodgement Announced

With Stevo's announcement we've put in our first list lodgement.

Joseph & Jacobs have both received promotions, and two new international rookies including Zac Tuohy (Is an international scholarship the same as an international rookie?).

Will the two rookie promotions count towards our mandatory three national draft picks? If they do then we'll pick up two more players from one of the drafts before delisting further.

Zach Tuohy seemed to have slipped under the radar. They were talking about him a while ago when he had a trial and then it all went quiet. Even when the other Irishman declined joining they didn't say anything about it.

I suppose better late than never.

Pretty sure that we had to elevate Jacobs. Showed too much promise to discard him altogether. If one ruck goes down, he will get a shot. Some nice depth to be had there.

Congratulations to Stevo on a very good career. Sad to see injuries get the better of him but that's life and everybody moves on. Footy takes a back seat when health is involved and it's always better to go out too early rather than too late especially when the risk is so high.

Also a huge well done to Sauce Jacobs for securing a spot on the senior list. He's had to work bloody hard to get where he finds himself today so he can treat this as testament to a job well done. Provides great depth in the ruck department should Kreuzer, Hampson or Warnock go down with injury.

You are right about noone would want to come back to training in anything less than tip-top shape but I'm not sure we will be making any more changes to the senior list prior to the next list lodgement.

In years gone past any team had to make at least 3 picks in the National Draft. That changed this year with clubs allowed a minimum of 2 picks and the 3rd could come in the form of a rookie elevation.

We could well make a few more changes to the list but it's definitely no certainty.

I think in light of recent departures of Thorp and Maguire... I could definitely see the club looking to take a pick in the PSD. Plenty of depth and opportunity imo.

Could see another player or two being shown the door before the next list lodgement.

Astounded Bentley has been retained. I liked what Pfeiffer had to offer and thought he showed better signs than what Bentley did when given the opportunity. But anyway.

I am a little confused here, you say you didn't think Jacobs would get promoted but believe we need more ruckmen because Warnock, our admittedly constantly injured, 206cm tap ruckman with a really good work ethic, should be delisted.

So we shouldn't promote Jacobs because we need another ruckman?
