looks like he has a nice pair of dukes and a good vertical leap.
Read that he tested 86cm for the standing vertical leap, easily beating NicNat's previous record of 78cm, of which the American's at the Los Angeles combine have now bettered, I think 90cm.

From what I've seen from the Chinese cricket program, these guys learn very quickly.
They do, Asian based players improve their skills dramatically. The biggest problem with a lot of them is their size and ability to gain muscle mass to play at the elite level. Hopefully a few more Asians can join the likes of Lin Jong

surely you would have to give him a year or two to learn how to kick/learn the rules even before sticking him on your rookie list. vertical leap/attitude is impressive however

Looks hopeless. Will never get drafted. I'm sure you can find blokes in aus who cant play footy but that can jump like that. Just an attempt at generating chinese interest in the sport.

Yeah Pretty Much, Best bet for him would play a Few Seasons at Local Club or something

I suppose if the AFL wants to make this work, they will have to identify kids from China who have the athletic capacity to play footy at a much younger age. I mean, that's the Chinese way. In their cricket program, they have U/15 squads and younger players as well. It takes a good few years to get the hang of both sports.
