That is probably the best draft /swap scenario I have seen in the last 48 hours. This gives Carlton picks 1, 15, 17 and 19 in a super draft along with PSD pick 1. If they can't make that work they need shooting. All they need to do now is trade for an up and coming ruckman and/or defender, pick up Gardiner with PSD 1, grab Gibbs and add some more midfield depth.

No way Carlton will accept that, they are not obligated to help Thornton get to the Hawks, he will attract interest from other clubs, despite the strength of the upcoming draft, pick 6 is not unreasonable.

Sydney have come out and said that they will not trade their first round pick, although I do like the sound of that trade.
