My gut feel is that the Suns would prefer to finish 8th, more the travel factor. Having said that, I tipped you guys to win the flag so wishing you good luck & form for the finals. Would love an all non-Victorian grand final to stuff it up the Vic centric media.

I hope Gold Coast win by less than the approx 5 goals (or draw) required to place below Hawthorn.

We have an awesome record against GC - they are historically the team we have by far the best winning record (76% overall!), we have won our last 6 matches against them (and 15 of our last 16), and Kingsley has never lost a game to Hardwick (his head coach when assistant at Richmond).

Whilst I this think Gold Coast is a relatively easier opponent for us than Hawthorn, in the end it’s a final and nothing guaranteed. Hardwick is a 3 times premiership coach, and this is Gold Coast’s greatest ever side that will be making club history by just making the finals.

My only hope is that the very very unlikely scenario of Gold Coast losing does not eventuate. I don’t want to play the Bulldogs, even though I believe our team can reverse the worst loss in Kingsley’s tenure if we have to play the Bulldogs.

Biggest victory margin in Gold Coast’s entire history is 87 points against West Coast this year. That margin is on track to be obliterated unless GC ease up for the finals

Excuse the intrusion.

Forgot how many players you had out.

How many of Hogan, Daniels, Buckley, Kelly and Stringer will be back?

Who will make way?
Daniels, Buckley and Stringer IN

Kelly off a few soft tissues....Thomas and Angwin playing well....we shall see.

Hogan.....anyone's guess my friend.

Aleer, Rowston, Wehr make way for the first three. Maybe Gruzewski.

But dunno. I'm not the coach

Are the tickets on sale today? Or is today just the 2 Friday games?
I'd imagine it could be tomorrow at the earliest but there's been no official announcement.

Even the AFL website is showing as TBC for when the tickets are on sale so very much so wait and see till the club or AFL announce it - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1403462...-week-one-of-2025-afl-finals-series-confirmed

It's a bit of a surprise all these details weren't ready to go and just require to be published.

I imagine we'll get an email from the club with details sometime today.

It will be a tough match against Hawthorn but finals games aren't meant to be easy. We'll have to play our best footy to win. It's hard to get a great read on the match-up as we've only played them once this year, all the way back in March and in horrid conditions at Launceston. The Hawks got the job done that night, but it was a pretty close game.

Sydney is expecting temperatures in the mid 20's next week so let's hope for a fast, dry track where we can play to our strengths. For what it's worth we're slight favourites with the bookies at the moment.

A strong contingent of travelling Hawthorn fans would create a great atmosphere and should see a crowd north of 20K.

The idiots will look at the tv and think there are no Giants fans.
Not realising we are one of the only stadiums where the tv faces away from the home members.

True, but it will be interesting to see how they allocate tickets for this game. I have been to finals games at Giants Stadium where Members aren't in their usual spot.

The game is up on Ticketmaster, member tickets go on sale at 10 am till 2pm tomorrow. :)

I'd say they're expecting a sellout with this notice:

During the members pre-sale Club members are required to purchase a finals ticket that is equivalent to the type of membership that they hold (i.e., adult members can only purchase an Adult finals ticket)

Was hoping to be able to purchase a couple extra tickets like the Lions game last year (I think it was up to 4 per membership?).

Will await for the club notifications to come through to confirm.

I definitely remember the finals vs the Dogs where we flogged them I was in the pocket next to where the cheer squad is, on the side that's usually opposition supporters.

Last year for the Lions game they placed us into randomised Giants member bays/seats. I imagine it'll be the same this year.
