Noo, stop kicking goals Tarkyn_24

Updated ladder and match summarys after I wake up tomorrow, about 1pm, and slam back a few CC's.

See such highlights as me failing to kick the last winning goal in the SA vs Allies. The hilarious own goal kicking of Uncle_Leo in the comedy filled Vic Metro vs NSW/ACT/Whatever. And the rampaging Tarks destroy Vic County for the Westerners. And lets not forget The Jets steamrolling -3 DT point game.

All this and more tomorrow, from your friendly stats whore.

You stay classy SFA.

Match Summarys for the...Matches...That are at least set in stone.

The Allies, 13.10.88, Defeated the South Australia, 12.11.83 @ TIO Stadium

In a frantic finish from the ages, this classic match was an arm wrestle after quarter time. SA exploded from the gates to lead 4 goals straight to the Allies inaccurate 1.4 goals.

Half time saw the Allies marginally reduce the gap by a single point, as the Croweaters continued with their push. Itsmyshow proved that it certainly was his show today, kicking two cracker goals himself to keep the Allies in touch.

After a third quarter time blast from their coach, the Allies strapped their defence down and got on with the job, holding the SAers to a single goal and 4 missed opportunities. It would prove to be their downfall in the end.

In a 10 goal final quarter, the crowd were on the edge of their seats. Neck and neck the whole way through, SA's usually reliable Full Forward finally found the big sticks, for only the second time that day. 20.39 minutes in he kicked what many hoped would be the killer blow, putting the Allies a single point down with very limited time to fight back. But as they had done to get to this point, they rallied from the middle. Filthy Sanchez used his height to advantage to win the clearance and send the ball to chefmeister who launched a 1970s style Torp from long way to slam the Allies in for their first win of the carnival.

Leading goal kickers for the day were Itsmyshow, kicking a handy 4.2 goals, and an even spread for the South Aussies, with BoshtrichBurger, Bengwatkins, Stewie Griffen and Member of one PAFC all kicking 2 goals each.
Leading possession winners on the day were@ fitzroybulldog for the Allies with 21 touches and 22 touches to HugeJohnson for the Snowtowners.

Victoria Metro, 10.2.62, DREW WITH NSW/ACT, 8.14.62 @ The MCG

In a game more in placed in a comedic theatre, the Metro boys failed to capitalise on the insipid accuracy of the NSWACTERS. The game had most of the crowd in stiches from the first quarter, with moments such as:

1 : 1.3 {rW} - Huge handpass to akkaps. As good as a kick.
1 : 1.34 {rW} - Big ... big kick by akkaps.
1 : 1.4 {rW} -
Uncle_Leo boots it through the big sticks... of the wrong goals. Oops.
VicMetro : 0.0.0

NSWACT : 0.1.1

1 : 3.09 {lHBF} - Quality gather by Speck.
1 : 3.15 {lHBF} - But he's been penalised for throwing.

1 : 6.04 {CHB} - Wise Guy Sam has possession.
1 : 6.08 {CHB} -
Wise Guy Sam looks at the umpire guiltily as he runs over the line. That's deliberate.

1 : 17.51 {rW} - Lanky_Wes looking for a lead.
1 : 17.55 {rW} - Lanky_Wes takes a bounce and nearly fumbles it.
1 : 17.59 {rW} - Lanky_Wes is tackled beautifully by flaps.

1 : 20.15 {CHB} - That's a fantastic tackle by HARPSichord.
1 : 20.19 {CHF} - HARPSichord sizes the options in front of him.
1 : 20.23 {CHF} - Great bump by
Wise Guy Sam. HARPSichord has not moved.
1 : 20.3 {CHB} - Wise Guy Sam dances around HARPSichord.

All this set the crowd up for what they could only expect. A draw. Somehow. The teams finished with just 4 points separating at the quarter time break, with plenty of ice packs and grimaces at replays all around.

Second quarter saw NSW kick the majority of what they were kicking for the game, to lead by a slim 13 points. Uncle_Leo was dominating the ruck but Metro couldnt quite get the handle of the ball they needed.
Third quarter started with some excellent goal kicking techniques from a certain Gee Dub

3 : 1.38 {FF} - Gee Dub with some space now.
3 : 1.46 {FF} - A snap at goal ....
3 : 1.49 {FF} - Oh no. It's come off his shin..
VicMetro : 5.1.31
NSWACT : 6.9.45

Somehow, the rest of the quarter belonged to NSW, with Metro struggling to make an impact.

At the last stand the scores read Metro 49, NSW 55. The crowd could sense a close finish. NSW took the most of their domination and ran with it for the start of the quarter, until Metro finally clicked into gear. With the gap 13 points they managed 2.1 goals in just over 20 minutes of football, to hand them a Draw. Draw. A Draw. Thats right.

Stat highlights were Vic Metros slightly lost FF Juggalo Balla kicking 3.1 and The Jet getting a whopping -3 DT points for giving away a free, we believe for attempting to cuddle after a tackle. Bryce_Jersey17 lead from the front for NSW, kicking 3.2 goals to go with his 19 disposals and 104 DT points.
Wise Guy Sam did his best with 22 disposals while flaps reached 21 for NSWs.

Western Australia v Allies @ Queen Elizabeth Oval

INJUNCTION. INJUNCTION, INJUNCTION, INJUNCTION.
INJUNCTION.

We play the Allies at the QEO?

Interesting........

Why is that interesting?? Is it because you should be playing for the Allies? Or is it because you are worried about the beating you will receive??

Lucky for me the league administration hasn't handed down any infraction notices to myself just yet. I am clear to continue this for now.

Last game for Round 3;

Western Australia, 15.7.97 Defeated Vic Country, 10.12.72 @ Queen Elizabeth Oval

In a completely, 100%, non controversial match, WA overcame a bit of a shaky start to comfortable defeat the Counters. The game started mostly in the Counts favour, with two cracker goals. However this put them into a false sense of security, only 12 points up. WA piled on 4 unanswered goals to take them into the first break 13 points up.

Slightly dazzed by this, the Allies struggled with the pressure for the second quarter, unable to reduce the margin, instead letting it increase to a comfortable 17 for the boys of the west.

Third quarter was more of the same, with WA happily continuing with the status quo. Tarkyn_24 once again kicked 3 this quarter, to go with the three from the second.

The fourth wrapped the game up with a crusing 25 point victory and an important 4 points for the victors.

Tarkyn_24 lead from the front for the WAers, kicking an accurate 7.1 goals, and polevaulting him into contention for the medal named after himself.

Allies struggled to impact the score board to much, with Catatonic their best, scoring 3.1 goals.

TRAWP ammassed a huge 30 touches for the losing side while Ljp86 had a day out with 29 and 1 tackle.

Slightly dazzed by this, the Allies struggled with the pressure for the second quarter,

Well now I'm confused. It's not surprising we're under pressure, playing two games at once.

You silly Allies, guess I figured you could all be in it together.

Like a battle royale? That would be sweet. Put 4 sets of goal posts up, throw (at least) 4 teams in and see who kicks the most goals (or incapacitates the most opposition players).
