Does the MRP check the fixture before handing out it's findings? I can't recall a single opposition player missing a Pies game through suspension, but seem to recall at least 8 times them getting off or coming back conveniently in time to face us.
How on earth did Dustin Fletcher get 1 week? His bad record had to make it at least 2, maybe 3. Are long suspensions only reserved for Brodie?

I'm now convinced that the fixture is checked along with the video.

Almost agree with that......James Hird is close to the best player I have ever seen (maybe behind Lethal).....I wish he'd go another year but understand it is probably time for him, afterall - he has done it all (premiership, brownlow, B & F's). It would be cool to see him go out in Round 22 on his feet...not paraded around with his kids in the back of a car.

Back to the topic.....Fletcher is a lucky man. Has been very lucky in the past (I know he has been suspended something like 9 times) for a man with his record he never seems to get more than a week or two at most.

But I agree with Eddie the other week. Why do we always want to see guys suspended?

I think Roccas should have got off, but it doesn't mean Fletcher should be suspended 6 weeks to justify the tribunals decision against Rocca.

Agree totally. Bombers will not make the 8. See next few rounds and if we can't beat Essendon with all their players in we are only making up the numbers. See 2006.

McVeigh is a very good player...agreed. I think he is amongst your top 5 performers of the past two years...................HOWEVER, please re-think the highlighted passeage.

Dustin Fletcher has nightmares about the Rocca family going back as far as 1995. Fletch is probably underated amongst Collingwood fans because he has so often been beaten badly.....especially by Sav. No doubt Fletch was Sav's proverbial bitch and Anthony has enjoyed much success against Essendon also.

Winderlich is a great runner, works his ass off, but sprays the hell out of it. Bring him back...who cares?

No, Anthony Rocca has had the edge on Fletcher over there previous encounters. Every Collingwood v Essendon game you'd see Anthony Rocca kicking usually 2.4 while taking 8 marks half which are contested against Dustin Fletcher. Dustin Fletcher couldn't beat Paul Medhurst 1 on 1 he's just very good at getting loose and rebounding from the 50.
