The punditocracy is completely out of control at the moment, which is extremely funny. We've won 20 games and a mere 6 out of 16 "experts" in the Hun tip us for the flag. Mike Sheahan thinks we're off the boil (http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/...raldsun/comments/make_that_five_i_cant_split/) and the Triple M boys don't think we'll make the granny.

Apparently you can't just flick the switch.

Maybe you recall that we almost got beaten by West Coast and then played Adelaide (who were on a seven game winning streak) and the Dogs (six out of seven) back to back. Flick. Blew 'em away.

Then we faced the reigning premier without eight of our best players, at a ground we play atrociously, after almost losing to Sydney. Flick. Blew 'em away.

We play the Pies this week. Apparently they're the best team of the past 12 weeks because they've won the same number of games as us. Flick.

Thank god Mike Sheahan hasn't picked us. He hasn't got anything wright this year.

I gotta feeling we will come to play, basically because we have to. No motive the last few weeks for the players to get fired up for a game. Just thinking back to the game of the century against the cats and the hype that we lived up to and how we rose to the occaision fills me with alot of confidence.

I think the boys are looking forward to a blockbuster. 80,000 + at the MCG with so much on the line and finals intensity will bring the best out in us. These meaningless games we have played lately have been a snore fest.

The national anthem follwed by an allmighty roar is just what we need.......

they have only beaten one top 3 side and that was by 1 point.

last year everyone was saying we were fininshed then we made top 4.

I am glad we can go in the underdogs - less pressure. We have had nothing to play for the last couple of weeks - and the losses have been by a totally of 7 points that is really not a lot there.

Also Sheahan has lost it - I believe that just about every team this year has been in his team to win - he had collignwood winning as they had 3rd spot sewed up haha. There is plenty to split the top 2 from the next 3 and then the following 3 after that.

However again I'm happy we can go the underdogs - coz the whole season everyone has been doubting us and it would be great if we could show them who we are - a repeat of Brisbane Lions perhaps

Well technically, because Footscray are third and you are fourth, you are in fact "under dogs", boom boom, ( I won't give up my day job).

But havent you heard, we have lost two games in a row and were wishy washy against the Demons. All our momentum is gone, we dont have a chance in hell.

I have not heard anybody write off any team in the top-4. St.Kilda are favourites with every betting web site for Sunday's match, and they're the current favourites for the premiership as well. They are also five matches ahead of Collingwood on the ladder. I understand that some people like to deflect favouritism to remove the pressure of expectation, but that is just not reality in this case.
