How have you determined this? And who are the first 92!?Was digging around on the lions site, and it turns out (in the meta data) that we are VFL club number 93.

Yer I read that earlier, scamming is a massive "business", IIRC I heard on the radio the other day that Australians lose over 3 Billion dollars each year to scams. My daughter was scammed out of $5,000 a year or so ago via a fake car sale, never got any money back.It is not just the older generations that get scammed into losing their savings.
Thank you morsie, I learnt a new word today.Unfortunately Tassie is a mendicant state.Huge numbers relying on governments for their income.I know they have a proud footy history and I hope I am wrong but it will never work.
So they could be the Tassie Fransicans or the Tassie Dominicans depending on whether they want to go for Brown or Black as their primary colour!Unfortunately Tassie is a mendicant state.Huge numbers relying on governments for their income.I know they have a proud footy history and I hope I am wrong but it will never work.
I'm learning web development, so I did an API call to the lions site and there in the meta data is a tag (if that's the right word, learning as I say) VFL-number=93. I didn't check on the other clubs but I imagine Collingwood or some other non-inter-state VFL royalty is #1 lol.How have you determined this? And who are the first 92!?
There's not a lot of meaning to that particular set of IDs.I'm learning web development, so I did an API call to the lions site and there in the meta data is a tag (if that's the right word, learning as I say) VFL-number=93. Not sure what's happening with North but GWS's reserves was Western Sydney for a while (part of a UWS sponsorship) which would slot in right there. There's not a lot of meaning to that particular set of IDs.
They start with Essendon on 86, followed by Gold Coast.
Box Hill, Sydney, Footscray, Sandringham, Aspley was 92, then us.
We're followed by Carlton & Casey. I think they tried going alphabetical for a bit then realised they forgot North & GWS and slotted them in between Werribee and Williamstown.
Truly a bizarre sort.
So something about order of being in the comp by that name? So each rename creates a new numberNot sure what's happening with North but GWS's reserves was Western Sydney for a while (part of a UWS sponsorship) which would slot in right there.
Nah all the teams were in a sequence, just starting with 86. Potentially the earlier 85 were teams in other comps, I could check but I'm not going to right now.So something about order of being in the comp by that name? So each rename creates a new number
This is a bizarre conversation.. are we bored.
Sorry MacMum, but that ship sailed long ago.Lets liven it up a bit eh
Dead against the clubs being asked by the AFL to form a position on the Voice vote..
Clubs should not be put in this position on what imo is a personal issue for whichever way a player/staff may want to vote
Politics should not be part of the sporting landscape. Keep right out of it......and I actually hope the club/s tell the AFL that too and refuse to do so.
Sorry MacMum, but that ship sailed long ago.
Lots of sports and/or sporting codes/teams have been drivers for social and political change in Australia for decades now.
We the fans, don’t get to pick and choose what “fights” our sport/s involve themselves in.
While I’m uneasy with how this has been reported, from my perspective, we shouldn’t expect the AFL to support some initiatives and not others.
