Just come across this video.
She is American and apparently looks at different sports worldwide
She found a video somewhere showing the game and its basic rules and play.
It is one of the better videos showing AFL to someone that does not know much about the sport.

The swans supporter with the full face paint and "bloods" across his forehead looked just as happy as he did on 28 September this year. :)

Aside from all the lads getting back to training, with the fixture and drafts now complete, the only thing left is jumper numbers in readiness for 2025 which i know many don't care about.

The following are available and the likes of Beeken (47) and Craven (50) may also look to smaller numbers. I think TRD mentioned Jaspa potentially moving down from the 28 too altho dont know if that was them with inside goss, but some good numbers available - 3, 10, 14, 17, 20, 22, 39.

Its seems evident that Levi will get the #10 and I wonder if Day will get Joe's and his old Suns number #3 or will Marshall / Flecther get into that or in honour of Joe, is it retired for a year?
3- Sam Day
10- Levi Ashcroft
14- Sam Marshall
17- Ty Gallop

First in first served if anyone wants one of 20, 22, 39.

I am looking forward to Sam Day coming to the Lions but I would pass on the number 3 and give to Sam Marshall. Although Sam Sheldon and Brent Moloney (who I liked as a player FWIW) have worn the number 3, along Voss, Daniher and Allen Christensen.

Yer I would not be against that, just thought that if Sam Day wanted the same number he had at the Suns it would be a great way to make him feel at home and accepted.

Not necessarily saying that's what you've done here, but I'd like to see us not hand out #3 or #20 willy nilly.

I'd put #16 in the same basket.

Annable in the #3 sounds good to me.

Day could hold it for a year and hand it over when he retires.

Levi made a joke about Sam taking 3, and Sam was nope nope nope but I'm not sure if that was just a spur of the moment thing.

Each there own but I hope Logan stays grounded. Personally I think this is about look at me but anyways. Popped up on my FB feed. NFI what Founders is and the only thing I know about Lara is that Allen Christensen was from there.

4 of them Logan Morris, Cal Ah Chee, Kai Lohmann and Josh Dunkley were at the Greensborough Pub last week in Melbourne. ( Northern Suburbs of Melbourne). We were present and must admit the prices above are alot cheaper than what we paid. We paid $64.00 or something like that per person and that gave you nothing, not even a glass of water.

Not sure how I would feel if I'm a coach. I mean, the AFL is so trigger happy with fines, yet they want to mandate this interview when they're at their most emotional point and you already know the AFL would be all over them like a rash if they slip up.

Agree.
The AFL love drama.
Then when they get it, they can punish coaches for comments they wanted in the first place.

It nicely fills the media attention for a few days. First the media outrage, then the media responding to the outrage, then the push back on that, and so on.

They'd get so much more honesty and interesting commentary from players and coaches if they didn't crack down so hard

Looks like some have tried to write a club song for the Tasmania Devils:

I quite like that 2nd one. That would go well perhaps not as a club song, more as something they could play during the warm up. While the team is being named one by one on the big screen.

Are they actually still able to recruit him?

Like how Prior has just ended up at Essendon or something similar?
Apparently he needed to register for the draft which he didn’t so his days are done.

Pretty impressive to be fair, no doubt funded by their pokies and I’d have thought those new facilities would be the best of any clubs outside of the AFL and way better than a lot of NRL teams

Great to use those profits to improve their facilities. The Sun's AFLW team would be better playing some games here for atmosphere.

Eight hundred seats per supporter is overdoing it a bit.

Southport got a big cash donation of $2.2 million from Vice President Wally Fankhauser in 1989 when they moved to the now named Fankhauser Reserve. Total costs for the project were $2.7 million
They have never looked back since then.
Not many clubs in Queensland would have a 120-room hotel on site. It opened in 2018.
................................................

Its central location leverages existing transport infrastructure, including two light rail stations, bus networks, and additional transit options, all enhanced by the legacy of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Proposals include additional residential development, such as build-to-rent projects, retirement living, and affordable housing. The precinct will also feature cutting-edge facilities to support businesses, events, and broadcasting, positioning itself as a hub for Queensland’s emerging sports tech sector.

“As we look ahead to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Southport Sharks is focused on becoming a cornerstone of Queensland’s sports tech industry,
