"I'm closer to family and friends, and the opportunity to see them on a regular basis is something I cherish, obviously not getting it for a while in Brisbane," he said.

"I think being happy makes you play better and that's probably where it's come from.

"It was really pleasing to see (Lions forward Josh) Schache re-sign this year, as an AFL observer, but they've got some talented kids up there and a good few players.

"I think Dayne Zorko is a star of the competition and probably doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves, but they've got a good list and they're growing – just like we are – and we play them in a few weeks, which will be exciting."

I didn't mind it. Sounds like he has matured quite a bit from the kid who told the world after leaving us that it was a childhood dream to play for Carlton. He he is happy, we are happy and as you say we have all moved on.

I don't think it was maturity. I think it was him trying to absolve himself of responsibility. He's got to know that he put us over a barrell and was a significant part of us requiring another rebuild - and maybe he was fine with it at the time - but if he feels guilty, or embarrassed, or anything else now - that'd fit the narrative for mine... he and Polec are probably the main faces of the Go Home 5, and he's been tarred with that for several years now -- it gets dragged through the papers a couple of times a year that we suck, retention, GH5... It sounds to me like he's happy that we're retaining players and making progress because it may mean that he doesn't have to hear about how he couldn't hack it in Brisbane 3 or 4 times a year.

Bike was found! Mitch got to confront the guy. Guy didn't realise he was in the media. Someone tipped Mitch off that it was under this guys house. No idea what happened after that, Mitch just happy the bike is back.
