Archer who is on the show had a decent sook about it saying if north missed the finals he will be sooking.

What an idiot. He should be filthy with his players for giving up the lead that they did.. not over such a small incident which probably made no difference in the end. Why focus on such stupid things? In the end the thing annoys me most about the game was the fact that we had so many scoring shots in the last bit of the game yet couldn't get a goal.. not the issue of whether Kirk kicked a goal or not. It was called a behind.. so that's that and same with this issue.. they didn't call for a count of heads, so too friggen bad.

I'm sick of North supporters whinging about everything. They are the biggest whingers in the comp. Year in year out they whinge about all things in life, not just football.

If you go to their board half their threads are just whinging about stuff.

They are the ugliest ducklings of the comp. Just full of hack players who give 100% of themselves week in week out. Name one North player other that Harvey who you would go to watch? There are no others.

As I've said, the 19th man on would be the one who entered the field early, as he wasn't supposed to be on the ground until Jolly came off, so Jolly wasn't the 19th man on, the 19th man on didn't even affect play.

Why did White (was it him? can't remember if I read that or not) come on when no one was coming off for him? Bit strange.

Incorrect.

White was logged on to the ground, Jolly was logged off.

The man who should not have been on the ground was invoved in a passage of play that resulted in a Sydney score.

This is indisputable.

Where it goes from here, who knows?

This is the best line I've read so far about the whole brouhaha

http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/afl/fanforce/index.php/heraldsun/comments/19_men_brilliant/

SO the Swans are going to be investigated for having 19 men on the field for a period of 20-30 seconds near the end of the draw with North Melbourne.

I can’t think why ... seeing as there’s very strong evidence to suggest that after half time Nick Davis could hardly be counted as being on the field at all.

HAHAHA

That just tells us that the log was wrong. Nothing to do with who is "supposed" to be on the ground.

It has everything to do with who was meant to be on the ground, otherwise there would be no point in logging interchanges.

Once Jolly was recorded as coming off, he became the 19th player.

Doesn't matter anyway, it will be a heavy fine at worst, but don't pretend it had no bearing on the result.

Do you understand what a log is?

TTD, for someone who talks down to people so frequently, you'd think you'd be a bit more with it.

Interchanges aren't and shouldn't be logged until the player coming off has gone across the line and been replaced. The fact that it was logged is less important than the fact that he never left the field of play, White was the 19th man on, he didn't affect play.

This is my best guess from playing football for many years...

Jolly was headed off the ground, about to cross the line when the ball headed his way. White ran onto the ground being a new player, and not noticing Jolly had turned back. Jolly took the ball and had a kick.

The rest is history...

White and Jolly are similar sizes with similar heads and similar numbers. It was clearly a very clever trick planned from the outset. I expect that the explanation the Swans are writing will cover these issues and we will lose the two points. Those tricky bastards at AFL HQ can really trip you up.

We can't lose the two points. We might get a fine, but they cannot take the two points off us. The AFL rules do not allow for an after game challenge.

The captain of North had to get the umpire to do a head count on the day.
Thats it, end of story.

WHY can Sydney not go without a week of controversy?

What the hell is going on?

It's one thing to count 19 on the ground when they are all moving but surely your guys can count to 4 - that's how many should be on the bench...truly !:p

Well ... if the interchange was about to occur.. I would assume White would be standing in the interchange gate rather than sitting on the bench.

there is absolutely NO way sydney cheated, as many heckin' idiots are saying
it is insane to even think there was any deliberate plan to have 19 men on the field, at that crucial stage or ANY stage, seeing as it's kinda hard to believe no one would notice

but i have a very uneasy feeling the afl is going to make an example of us and take away the two points, and give them to north
i may be wrong, and i really hope i am
but i am getting more worried as the clock ticks

i agree rancid, hopefully the mods will stop these future gold coast idiots posting crap on this board.

to be honest, i don't care any more if they post here, on their own boards or the main board, or even what clubs they're from
they simply expose their own stupidity, ignorance, hypocrisy and small-minded bias, but NOTHING will silence their froth-mouthed fury
the simplest way to challenge them is to ask them to consider if whatever particular issue had happened to their club

That was my thinking too. I wasnt Jolly at fault and it White(?) had no influence on the play.
