dare i say the nutcase andy goodwin

Another player that comes to mind is Richard Lounder.

Can't believe it took this long for Richard Lounder to come out. Number ione draft pick!

Anyone remember Scott Homewood, don't think he even got a game?

ahhh....and how can we forget the one that was going to be the next big thing, in Jay Burton. He and Simon the "reserves legend" Eastaugh were pivotal in the ruck for the reserves for their entire careers.
But Eastaugh had a secret fan too, Sheeds. LMAO ahhh sheeds the rot was setting in from way back then huh? ;)

I will see your Jay Burton and raise you Adam Slater! The guy looked like a tall David Brent with that silly goatee thing he had going...

ahhh the slate. Its not his fault that he was ahead of his time. He could see that you could make it in footy if you came with a new angle outside skill, hence the goatee, which lead the tigers to swoop on him.

Here is one dude that might alert the tiger heads that remember him and now watch Tiv, as to why Tiv is a key to our spoon hopes. Steven the Rhino Ryan. Rookie of the year, one year, to Keystone Cop the next. He just delivered the laughs week in week out, after winning the best first year player in his debut year. Seems that the voting panel from back then, got new jobs as the voting panel for the tigers B&F count. ;)

has anyone mentioned jamie elliott.couldn't be bothered scrolling through 11 pages.11 pages!we have been a rabble haven't we?

The funny thing is that Robert Shaw considered him to be a future captain of Fitzroy! Not sure if that is an indictment on Shaw or Elliott.

A couple of more names that I have thought of over time.

Greg Dear
Simon Dennis
Matthew Francis
Wayne Hernaman
Todd Menegold
Steven Jackson
Haydn Robbins
Allister Scott
James Thiessen
Brad Smith
Brent Frewen
Jason Ramsey

Boy, this is bringing back nightmares and I should really stop thinking about it, in a few years we will be looking back on some of tonights players with the same thoughts.

But its good to see Browny back in the team tonight.

I would think it would be fantastic if any ex-players posted.

It shows they were actually passionate about the club. Most of them would have been say Carlton fans or Collingwood fans growing up, then they were drafted to Richmond and have been Tigers ever since.

Some of our ex-players left on bad terms unfortunately, regardless of ability I'd want everyone who was good enough to wear our jumper to stay as close to the club as possible for life.

I think the fans respect Tivendale so much for how he handled his demotion for Coburg, fans love it when they can see a player cares more about the club than their personal career.

Top thread - some funny names mentioned here.

It's so reassuring to now have great list managers in place at Richmond; this ensures we don't have some of the embarrassing players listed here running around in the Tiger guernsey

Well done to TW and the Tigers for assembling a off-field team of recruiters and coaches that are the envy of all other clubs :thumbsu:

Justin Blumfield - what a dud:thumbsd:
Patrick Bowden
Rex Hint
Paul Sproule
Tony Jewel
