Can someone describe what happened when the game finished, as us foxtel subacribers that pay $60 per month were deprived of it.

Adam Spencer interviewed Jared Crouch. He still had a bit of claret on his melon. Seemed very cool about the whole thing. Not so Leo and Micky, who were too choked up to talk. They circled the entire ground, shaking hands and high fiving people. The Lions players stayed out on the ground the whole time. Simon Black made a point of saying something to Jared Crouch - probably "glad to see the back of you mate" or "thanks for giving Aker the shits all those years". When they finally got all the way round Roosy said a few words. Then they were chaired off by their teammates and disappeared down the tunnel for the last time. It was very emotional and a fitting tribute to 3 great players.

I too was furious.I usually can wrangle it to get to Sydney but last night I had to work,looking after the welfare of Aussies,but I managed to watch it on Foxtel.I was waiting to see our three champs being celebrated after the game and the bloody soccer came on.FOXTEL you are a disgrace.

Surprises me as Fox Sports is generally very good with all that. Don't they usually have a Soccer match starting after the footy every Saturday night? What do they do in those cases?

They stuffed up. The Souths v Dragons match finished before the Swans game and then they had a replay of the Storm match after that. They should had the EPL live on FS2 and then the Storm replay after the Swans. Or they should have just not shown the Wallabies match. Who wants to watch that boring crap?

I don't have a problem with that but why not splash something across the bottom of the screen a minute or two before the siren to let people know?

FS2 had a replay of the Storm v Roosters. FS3 had the Wallabies live.

Did the fifth quarter happen after? I just saw them end the AFL Thing and at that stage I was just devastated and turned the TV off.

Yeah true, they could have warned people. I just flicked it off in disgust when that happened and missed seeing them being carried off. Imagine if you were recording it though?

Yeah what a disgrace and I still havent seen them leaving the ground etc yet, I couldnt believe it at the time...

Check the Brisbane thread, I posted two pics and a video I took of them leaving the ground. Video is extremely blurry but gives the emotion.

Heads up. This is the reply I got from Fox.


Due to the coverage of Live NRL, Tri Nations and English Premier League and our commitment to Live sport, we were forced to join the Premier League in progress after the AFL had concluded. These were exceptional circumstances and a situation where live sports already in progress had to take precedence over the AFL post game. ​

We have included the post match coverage in the replay on Wednesday Foxsports 1 @ 930am.​

Obviously a cut and paste job as I received the exact same email.

The only problem is it was a replay of the NRL match. Also, in the past they have telecast live sport on 513 when necessary.

After Wednesday I'll be cancelling my subscription.

The post match coverage is pointless, they don't show anything anyway. I just watched the channel 10 coverage (on IQ) and they don't actually show anything. You can see the guys walking around the field as they show the scores, but that's it.
